Getting Ready

This was it. The Berkshire Ball, is tonight. Oh Merlin. I am so fucking nervous. I took a deep breath before getting out of bed. It was just the beginning of the day, 10am. I grabbed Isadora and went downstairs for breakfast.

Of course, I ate breakfast alone, as my Family can not be trusted in eating in the same room together, they might murder each other. But I enjoy the peace and quiet. Last night I argued with my Mother about going to Daphne and Astoria's house too get ready with them and Pansy, and it ended up with Mother yelling, and glass all over the floor.

Anyways, as Isadora was eating her food, I was wondering on how the night was going too be. I hope it's as amazing as the girls made it sound. I called them immediately and they were as happy as I was.

I still don't know what i'm wearing. My Mother chose the dress for me, so wish me luck, I guess?

After breakfast, my Parents made me practice my fighting, and made me study as usual before it turned 5pm. Because, and i'm not kidding, the whole Family needs 4 hours to get ready.

I took an everything shower, you know, exfoliated, washed my hair, masked, shaved, you get the gist, right? When I got out the shower, I moisturised my body so I wouldn't be all dry.

I got into some baggy pyjamas, and then I dried my hair, styled it into some hair rolls (I finally got it perfect after around 15 minutes.), I picked out my jewellery, placed it on my bed that was beside the dress that was covered in a bag. Anyways, I washed my face and did my skincare, and after the products dried and all good, I took a deep breath before doing my makeup.

Just then, my Aunt came through the door without knocking.

"Y/n, you do realise we only have under an hour left?" she spoke as she watched me apply on blush.

"Lo sé, Tía." (I know, Auntie.) I said as I struggled to blend it in. "Can you help me with this?" I asked as I turned too face her.

"I'm more than glad too, Sobrina." (Niece.) my Aunt smirked and took the brush from me. She started doing the rest of my makeup and made it all blend beautifully. She put some eyeliner on my waterline and a cat eyeliner. I think she did a better job than Daphne, don't tell her I said that.

"Thank you." I said tony Aunt before she smiled and walked off. I looked at the time and realised I only have like 45 minutes left. Wonderful.

I get my dress and unzip the cover, and took it out. I held it far so I could observe it. A sleeveless bodice with small layered tulles at the long skirt. It looked beautiful. I noticed a pair of matching black gloves.

I tried it on and I walked towards the mirror. The bodice hugged my figure beautifully, and I realised I had a small slit, though, it wasn't noticeable much.

I took out the heartless curls and made sure they looked nice and subtle. After styling around with it, I decided to go with a half-up half-down and tied it with a sleek and silk, thin piece black ribbon and turned it into a bow. I sprayed on some perfume before kissing Isadora goodbye and leaving my room.

I then put on my small hoop earrings, and some small pearls on my seconds. I took my bangles and grabbed my shoes as I headed downstairs in a rush. We're supposed too leave in just a few minutes, and I put on the rest of my jewellery as I go down the stairs and put on my black ankle strapped heels.

"I'm ready." I panted as I approached my Family, they looked...nice. The also look polite too, that's a first. "I'm ready."

"Are you, know? You're not forgetting anything are you?" Mother asked as she crossed her arms. I went through everything and went through every step.

"My wand?" I asked, I wasn't sure if I should've brought it because were literally sorcerers and don't need wands. Mother nodded and handed my wand too me.

"We also think you should bring this." my Aunt handed me my silver dagger that was starched to my thigh strap already. I took it from her and placed it on.

"Are we ready to go now?" I asked and they all smirked and nodded. They then turned around and headed out of the doorway, and we each went into different cars, because obviously one won't be enough, we're a massive Family!

I get into a car with my two Uncles and my Mother. My Uncles are at the front, while my Mother and I are sitting at the back, in silence.

"One thing you need to know," Mother broke the silence.

"Oh, save me, Merlin." I muttered under my breath so she woiluldnt hear.

"I will allow you too hang out with your friends tonight. The whole night." I snapped my head towards her. "But as soon as we're supposed too leave, you say your goodbyes quickly and come straight outside for us too leave. Got it?"

"Got it." I answered and suppressed a smile from forming.

"Good." Mother finished. When I looked out the window I couldn't help but smile so widely.

As we soon approached The Berkshire Manor, my heart started pounding in my chest.

"Before we go in, I would like to give something too you." Mother said as she took out a small box and gave it too me.

I opened it and saw the most beautiful necklace, it has a little heart pendant on it with my initials engraved in it.

"It was your Abuelitas idea." Mother continued before helping me put it on. We then got out of the car and headed in towards the Manor. It looked so beautiful with the trees surrounding it. I looked around and saw plenty of other cars approaching and some leaving after dropping people off.

The Manor was amazingly massive. Wouldn't be shocked in the size of the Ballroom. I took a deep breath and follows my Family, soon entering the building.
