As they were walking to the brunch Yoongi finally spoke up.
"NBA sent me two tickets for a match. Do you want to go?"
"Sure we can go." Judy said and smile 'Damn I missed that smile.' Yoongi thought to himself. They arrived and he opened the door while motioning to Judy to walk in first. A man came up to them.
"Good morning. A table for two?" The man asked them.
"Yes please" Yoongi answered. They sat down and Judy took the menu. Everything right now sounded like music to her
"Order anything you like." Judy nodded at his words. "What do you think you are going to order?"
"Probably this red velvet pancake with cream cheese and raspberries." Judy looked up. "You?"
"I'm going to the this bagel sandwich that they have. We can share if you want."
"Cool. You are ordering." Judy said.
"I'm ordering? In English? No! You order."
"Nahh, I'm too shy to do so." Judy mumbled.
"And I don't speak English!
"Good morning what would you like to order?" The waitress asked. Judy stayed silent. Yoongi gave her a warning glare to speak but instead of speaking up she looked at the waitress and signed to her that she was mute and deaf. Once the waitress realised she turned to Yoongi who was sighing deeply.
"I would like a red velvet pancake and this bagel sandwich." Yoongi ordered.
"And what would you like to drink?" She asked while checking him out. Judy smirked.
"I would like a dark forest milkshake and Judy?" Yoongi asked Judy.
"I would like a vanilla milkshake." Judy smiled but she didn't look at the waitress.
"Will that be all?" The waitress asked still giving Yoongi the puppy eyes.
"You sure you don't want anything else?" Yoongi asked Judy ignoring the waitress' stares. Judy nodded. "Yeah that'll be all. Thank you." Yoongi answered and the waitress gave him a last smile.
"You should ask for her number." Judy said and smiled miscievously.
"What the..? No!" Yoongi said back annoyed by her comment.
"Why no? She's cute." Judy insisted.
"Won't take the part."
"What do you mean?"
"Not many can handle me and my lifestyle. And she definitely won't handle any of it." Yoongi confessed and left Judy with her mouth agape.
"I don't understand you Min Yoongi." Judy chuckled and leaned back. 'Wrong. You understand me a lot better than I would want you to.' Yoongi thought to himself. The waitress brought their drinks. Judy reached out to Yoongi's drink. She took a sip and then she took a sip from her own. Yoongi did the same.
"I like yours better." Judy mumbled.
"Have it. I prefer yours."
"Thanks Yoongs."
" Why did you come?"
"What do you mean why I came?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows.
"I was answering to your texts. And I was doing just fine."
"Judy really now? When I walked inside you had tears in your eyes and your text went like this: Hey everyone! I'm fine don't worry about me. Have a good day! And you didn't even eat the food I ordered for you. Instead you gave it to homeless people or stray cats and dogs. That's enough of reasons for me to come."
"You should go back to Korea tomorrow morning. You need to go back the members need you and I'm fine. I'm just grieving."
"By yourself. I'm not going and don't try to convince me otherwise."
"But Yoongi you have work and I promise I will take care of myself from now on."
"I already told you I'm not going anywhere."
"But-"
"Stop protesting Judy. And stop pushing people away from you when you need them the most!" Yoongi interrupted her. Judy just stood there silent. The waitress gave them their food. She gave Yoongi and extra napkin where she had written her phone number.
"Thank you." Judy mumbled.
"Thanks." Yoongi said and gave the waitress a small smile. She left without saying anything.
"Tomorrow is his funeral." Judy announced to Yoongi.
"Okay. I'm going to be right next to you the whole time."
"Thanks for travelling all the way here for me."
"If it wasn't me another member would've came."
"I didn't want to worry you guys."
"We care about you. Its normal for us to worry about you even when you say to us that there is nothing to worry about."
"My second family..." Judy's eyes started welling up. "Fck I'm sorry. Just you coming all this way and the fact that tomorrow I will have to say farewell to Cameron is too much." Couple of tears rab down her cheeks.
"Judy... saying goodbye to him-"
"Don't say that word."
"Right... I'm sorry. Why though? You said that to me the last time too."
"He and my other best friend who died told me the exact same word the last time I saw them. Cameron said that to me when I left America to come to Korea."
"Wishing to him farewell will not only help you but him also. And if you promise to him that you'll take care of yourself it will help him to rest in peace. I don't think he would want to see you in the state I saw you." Judy couldn't help it anymore. She started crying, Yoongi came and sat next to her. She reminded him of himself couple of years ago.
"I'm sorry for crying."
"Never apologise for your feelings! Never apologise for expressing your feelings. Never ever dare to apologise yourself to me. You undersrand? DOn't hide yourself from me. Don't hide your pain from me. Don't hide you feelings from me or anyone who actually cares for you." He wrapped his hands around her. "For some people you are one of the most important people on this planet. In that case, I am one of those people who consider you one of the most important person in their life. So if you keep me in the darkness about your feeling, your well being, your thoughts its like I can't help out a part of myself. So don't hide yourself from me..." Yoongi finished. Judy hurried her face into his shoulders. She want to say something to him but she couldn't bring herself to do so. Instead she hugged him as tightly as she could and Yoongi kept her close. Yoongi wasn't a person that showed his love through skin ship. But Judy was another case. She was one of those people that he wouldn't care if they needed a hug for hours. As he had said to her... she was one of those people that he never wanted to part ways with. She became a really important person to him without him even realising. That was the naked truth... and it scare him. He didn't trust people easily. But she had crumbled down all his protecting walls brick by brick with trying much. He had the tendency to push away people he cared for. He didn't do it consciously most of the time. He just did it. But he couldn't do it with her. Yoongi started patting her back trying to soothe her. After a while she started calming down.
"I drenched your t-shir with my tears, sorry."
"Don't worry about a stupid shirt.
"Thank you Yoongi... I didn't know how much I needed someone next to me. My mom and dad are supposed to come tomorrow at the funeral. Just so you know I lied to them that a friend was with me. I said that she was my neighbour. So when they are going to see you tomorrow they might ask you about it. Just say that girl that lives next to me is named Olivia and that she stayed with me till you came." Judy informed him. "I said the same thing to my brothers. Ace will probably come tomorrow. The one that is the same age as Jungkook."
"Okay, though I hate lying." Yoongi said and gave her a scolding look.
"I know, I hate lying too. It was my last resort and I didn't want the to worry about me or come for me."
"I understand. I have done the same thing before. Couple of times actually. But you need to understand that we care for you and we all want to be by your side." Judy nodded Yoongi lifted her chin and looked her in her caramel eyes.
"I'm here for you. We are all. You just need to say so. Or give us signals and we will come running to you." He finished his sentence and kissed her forehead. His soft pink lips on her forehead calmed down her racing mind. "Now dig in." He brought his food so he could sit net to her. They stayed eating without saying anything more to each other. Just silence. The silence that Yoongi found comfort and peace in.
