Aadrika stood in front of the lonely farmhouse, the address provided by her father echoing in her mind. Her heart raced as she took a step forward, knowing this was her father’s place—unused and untouched by time.

She pressed her hand against her chest, squeezing her eyes shut to hold back tears, fully aware that the moment she laid eyes on her son, she would crumble. The weight of her emotions was overwhelming.

With a deep breath, she opened her eyes and walked towards the door, pressing the doorbell. An elderly woman answered, a warm smile on her face.

"Welcome, ma'am," she said kindly.
Aadrika nodded in response, her voice barely a whisper as she asked,

"Where is my son?"

The woman nodded and replied, "Please follow me."

Aadrika followed her, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"This way, Ma'am," the woman directed. Soon, they arrived at a door, and with a gentle motion, the lady opened it, causing Aadrika's heart to race with excitement and anxiety. After five long months, she was about to see her son.

As the lady stepped aside, Aadrika entered the room.

"I'll take my leave, Ma'am," she said before walking away. Aadrika’s focus was solely on the small figure sitting on the floor, surrounded by toys. Tears welled in her eyes as she approached him, trying to steady her voice.

"Adhyansh," she called gently.

The little boy turned, looking up at her with his big, innocent eyes, making her heart ache with longing. He pouted, and she knelt down, opening her arms.

"Adhyansh, Mumma's here. Come."
For a moment, he hesitated, gazing down with teary eyes, and her throat tightened with emotion. But then, he looked up at her and slowly stood up, a small toy in his hand that he had been chewing on.

As he shuffled towards her, Aadrika took a deep breath.

"Come here," she urged.

His smile was radiant, and she enveloped him in a tight hug, wanting to protect him from the world and its troubles.

"Mera baccha," she whispered. But as she heard him call her "Mamma," tears streamed down her face.

She pulled him closer, showering his head with kisses, trying to hold herself together for his sake.

Looking at him, she traced his little body with her eyes, caressing his head, kissing his forehead, cheeks, and finally pecked his lips.

"Are you mad at Mumma for not visiting you? I didn’t even video call you."

Adhyansh pouted and nodded, and Aadrika kissed him gently on the forehead. Lifting him into her arms, she settled down on the bed with him in her lap.

"Mumma is so sorry, but I brought you lots of toys and plenty of chocolates. You love those, don’t you?"

His eyes sparkled as he looked at her, and he tried to speak.

"Ion man."

Aadrika chuckled. "Yes, lots of Iron Man toys."

His smile brightened, and she playfully leaned her cheeks toward him.

"But for that, I need a kissy."
Adhyansh grinned and promptly kissed her cheek, making her heart swell with joy.

Hours slipped by as they played together, lost in their own world. Aadrika's laughter mixed with Adhyansh's delighted giggles, filling the room with happiness.
