++Percy's POV++

"I have to drink that?" I glared at the purplish-brownish concoction that seemed to stare at me from the table. Could you even actually drink something in a dream?

Aphrodite rolled her eyes. "What is it with you boys and your pride?" She sighed dramatically. Apollo patted her shoulder comfortingly.

"Yes, you have to drink that," he demanded. "Your friend Jason even fought a hydra or three to get the most important ingredient." Aphrodite gasped.

"You told me he'd have to fight one," she accused. "Not that I'm complaining. I never did like that boy." Her nose wrinkled.

"Eh," Apollo shrugged, "it's always more fun to watch when they go into it obliviously." He turned to me with a serious look on his face. "If you want to wake up, you drink it. If not, have fun in the Underworld." Then, with a snap, they were gone.

"Great," I muttered, narrowing my eyes at the cup again. "Is there a serving size? Or a time limit?" I asked no one. "Do I have to drink all of it? Might take me a while to choke it down." Realizing I was talking to myself, I scowled at the floor, reaching hesitantly for the magical juice. "It tastes like a donut," I chanted, raising the glass to my mouth. "It tastes like a donut..." I cringed as a took a sip.

It didn't taste like a donut. It tasted much better.

It tasted the way summer feels and fall smells and winter looks and spring sounds.

It tasted like nights spent by the lake with Annabeth, Piper, and Jason.

It tasted like afternoons in the strawberry fields and sword fighting in the arena and blue pancakes.

It tasted like home.

Home...

"Percy?" Annabeth's voice was panicked. "Percy, are you awake?" I heard her stand up and rush to the door. "Someone get Piper, quickly!" She yelled loudly. I think I cringed. "Percy!" I cracked one eye open, feeling blinded by the light.

"Ow," I mumbled. "Head. Bright light. Very bright light. Very ow." Annabeth gasped and rushed over to close the curtains.

"Are you okay?" In a flash, she was back by my bed.

"Am I dead?" I said as an answer. She half laughed.

"No. I thought you would be for a while, but you never completely turned from green to pale, so I thought that was a good si-"

"Percy!" Piper bursted through the door. "Oh my gods, I thought you were going to die!" She ran over, a hand on her forehead. "I swear, you boys are stressing me out more than my mother does. Are you okay? What happened?"

"I'm fine, mom," I teased. "Apollo said Jason helped heal me, where is he?" Annabeth's eyes widened and turned toward Piper.

"He went to visit his... No, I'm so stupid. I was so mad, oh gods. He was helping." She frowned sadly, pressing the eels of her hands to her eyes. "Piper, I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything I said. I'm so glad you were here with me." Piper smiled, bumping Annabeth's shoulder with her own.

"It's okay," she said. "I don't know if I would be thinking straight while Jason was half dead either."

"He would look so terrible," I smirked at the image. Piper raised her eyebrows.

"You didn't look too hot either, buddy," she remarked. I rolled my eyes.

"She's right," Annabeth agreed. "The green skin tone doesn't really go with your hair or your eyes."

"Alright, alright, fair enough," I surrendered. "But I feel better already."

"You look better," Annabeth admitted. "I was really worried, Percy. We both were."

"I'll always come back to you," I promised, smiling at Annabeth. Piper looked at her pointedly.

"I told you."
