I quickly change into a green and blue crop top and jeans. I throw my suitcase back onto the top bunk and pull on a sweatshirt as I run out the door, carrying my backpack. Jason isn't there, so I figure he went back to his cabin to change out of his CHB shirt and pack. I make mental decision to go say good bye to Annabeth and find Jason after.

Outside the door of Cabin 6, I knock, shivering as cold wind tangles my choppy hair and I pull my jacket tighter around me. Nick, one of Annabeth's half brothers, opens the door.

"Hey, Piper!" He greets and ushers me inside, shutting the door firmly behind me and blocking the wind. "Annabeth's on her bunk, as you probably will have guessed."

"Thanks, Nick," I reply with a grin and head to the middle of the room where Annabeth is, as promised, sitting on her bunk with her laptop balancing on her crossed legs.

"Hi Annabeth," I say, hoping it doesn't take her too long to come out of the I'm-working-on-something trance she always gets in. She snaps her head up at my voice.

"Piper!" She exclaims, sliding her laptop onto the bedside table to give me a hug. "I'm so excited about the theme park!"

"I know," I reply, "me too! I can't believe Chiron let us all go!" She nods, her forehead creasing into a frown.

"I'm kind of worried about that, actually. I've been meaning to tell you."

"Well you would have ruined Jason's surprise," I joke. "He literally told me five minutes ago."

"Good thing I didn't," she laughs. A frown slides over her pretty features again. "I'm just worried," she says slowly. "I mean, a son of Zeus and a son of Poseidon... That's gonna attract a lot of monsters." She bites her lip, and I understand, but I can't help but smile a little. I'm getting used to people addressing Jason as the son of Zeus, now that he's accepted that he wants to be Greek.

"And then when you add in us," I say, "there's even more monsters." She let's out a small laugh.

"Yeah, we'd better be careful. We're four of the most powerful demigods at Camp, and we're all going to the same place." I place a hand on her arm.

"Hey, we'll be fine," I assure her. "This is our break, right? We should try to have fun." Her posture relaxes at my words (I may have used a tiny amount of charm-speak) and she breaths in heavily.

"You're right," she decides. "We're gonna have a lot of fun." I grin, elbowing her side.

"Now there's the spirit!" This earns a full laugh. "I came to say bye, actually. We're leaving." She hugs me again.

"See you soon! Have fun!" She calls as I walk back through the door.

"Bye, Annabeth," I call back over my shoulder and step back out into the whipping wind.

Where is Piper? I literally left for two minutes to grab my bag, and when I come back and poke my head inside, she's gone. I shake my head. Seriously, girls can get around. I think I need to put a bell on her. No, that would be a bad idea. I probably wouldn't get to far before she-

"Jason!" I hear her voice cut through the air, turning toward the sound.

"Where were you?" I ask, pulling her toward the Big House.

"Saying goodbye to Annabeth," she says. "Where'd you go?"

"To grab my bag," I reply, holding it up and then hastily tossing it down to run inside the Big House to tell Chiron we're leaving. I run back outside, where Piper is waiting patiently, looking down at her phone.

"Ready?" I ask, picking my bag up again.

"Uh, yeah," she answers, sounding a little distracted. I look at her, worried.

"What's up, Pipes?" I ask, tilting her chin up so she looks me in the face, brown eyes meeting mine.

"It's Percy," she says hesitantly. "He just texted and said he doesn't feel well." She sounds concerned, and I feel a little prick of jealousy in my chest. I shake it off. Piper is just being kind, which is why I fell for her in the first place. I have no reason to be jealous of Percy. Except maybe of his awesome water powers.

"He'll be okay," I promise, hoping I'm right. Her phone dings again. She looks down and slides the screen to unlock it. A frown appears on her face as she types furiously with her thumbs.

"Jason..." She looks up at me with pleading eyes. "Now Annabeth is really worried. Can we go see him really fast?" I feel jealousy spark again, and this time it annoys me. Why does she care so much about him? I look down at her and see her searching my face. I try to mask my annoyance but she's already noticed it.

"Yeah," I sigh, "but if we have to walk to the theme park, I'm blaming you."

"I'm sorry," she rushes, "I'm just worried because Annabeth seems really concerned. You don't have to be jealous," she reaches for my hand. "You know Percy's a close friend. To both of us. Aren't you concerned at all?" I realize a second too late that I seem selfish to her as I shrug. She steps back, letting go of my hand. No, I didn't mean it that way...

"Wait! I'm sorry!" I cry, but Piper is already running in the other direction.
