Rachel Elizabeth Dare is the only solution I could think of. I mean, there's really no way to force a prophecy out of her, but it's worth a shot to ask.

Annabeth completely disagrees with me, since Rachel isn't really her favorite person. Personally, I think she's upset because, one, she didn't think of the idea, two, she doesn't like asking other people for help, and three, she's kind of out of it from worry. So I told her I'd drop the idea. Right now, she thinks I'm getting my already-packed bag, because Chiron agreed to let Annabeth and I stay in the Poseidon cabin, "just this once". I need to find Rachel quickly.

"Have you seen Rachel?" Jason, who I'm still kind of mad at, asks a group of campers. They're clumped at the bottom of the lava wall, cheering on a child of Hypnos, who keeps falling asleep and getting singed by lava. Everybody shakes their heads. I sigh and jog over to the sword fighting arena, where Travis and Connor Stoll are whacking each other with long branches.

"Has anyone seen Rachel?" I call. The twins pause to look at me.

"Yeah, she was just here. I think she said she was going to the dining hall," Travis says slowly, taking a water bottle Katie Gardener handed him and wiping his forehead with his shirt.

"Thanks," I turn and run toward the dining hall, where people are gathered around Rachel herself. Tendrils of green smoke curl out of her mouth, and her eyes glow green.

"A child of the sea
Poisoned will be
His life could be done
But for a quest of one
Parents' rivalry must know
The place of joy and sadness to go
The goddess of peace
Will his suffering cease
But it will take the hand of the rival
To ensure the sea's son's survival."

So Percy was poisoned. Annabeth was right.

The smoke recedes, and Rachel coughs, blinking as she notices everyone staring at her.

"I just gave a prophecy, didn't I?" She guesses. Everyone laughs nervously. Of course, no one knew about Percy, but he's the only child of the sea, so someone should figure it out right about...

"Has anyone seen Percy recently?" Someone speaks up. I cringe and silently curse whoever it was, ducking through the crowd and taking off toward Cabin 3, scooping my bag up.

I repeat the prophecy in my head until it's practically tattooed on my brain.

A quest of one, a parent's rival-that could only be Jason. They didn't not get along, but their dads are rivals. Then Jason has to go on a solo quest.

The place of joy and sadness? Nothing came to mind, but maybe Jason would know.

The goddess of peace... None other than my lovely mother. No pun intended.

So Jason will have to go to meet Aphrodite in the place of joy and sadness, and Percy's life depends on it.

Great. Just great.

No way will Annabeth approve of this, so we'll just have to figure out a way to send Jason off and, well, not tell her.

That is going to be the tricky part.

Sorry I don't have a regular update schedule, 'cause ideas just kinda come to me randomly, but I'll try to make one?
