++Annabeth++

I glare silently at Jason and wish Piper wouldn't have left me alone with him. The only thing stopping from punching the daylight out of him is Percy's hand in mine. Jason glances at me, then darts his eyes back to the ground. He's self centered, I always knew he was. But I put up with him for Piper. Where is she anyway?

Piper. She could do so much better than him. Her brown hair was getting longer and lighter, it was almost to her waist. Her kaleidoscope eyes were green, brown, violet, and blue at the same time. Sometimes they were completely different solid colors, but you never really saw them change.

'Speak of the angel,' I thought as Piper burst back into the room, internally chuckling at my own twist at the saying.

"He texted me, then passed out," she explains to Chiron as he trotted in behind her. "I don't know everything, but Annabeth does..." she trails off, looking over at me. Chiron turns to me with a concerned look in his eyes.

"Annabeth?" He asks, brow creasing. I breathe in carefully, determined not to break down and cry in front of Piper's stupid boyfriend. Well, if they're even dating anymore. "What happened?"

"I don't know," I cry, frustrated. "He sent Tyson to say he wasn't feeling well, when I got here he was texting Piper, and right after that he passed out and turned..." I glance at him. "Green. The first thing I did was tell Piper, she was the first person I thought of." I look at Piper, her eyes green now and worried. I like that she and Percy were close, not to the point where I had competition, but to where they could joke around and tease each other. I smile slightly, remembering the last time we were all able to hang out together, outside of training. We were by the lake, sitting on picnic blankets and telling ridiculous stories.

"Wait a minute," Piper said, holding back a laugh. "You're saying you pushed a girl into a fountain, but you didn't?" She looked past me at Percy. He shrugged.

"Well, witnesses would later describe the water coming out and grabbing her," he replied, grinning at her. "So no, I didn't push her. It pulled her."

"You didn't know how to control it yet," Jason mused, "but it did what you wanted. Nice."

"Let's play a game," Piper suggested randomly.

We spent the rest of the night doing just that, and I'd never been happier, sitting with my boyfriend and best friend.

Oh, and her boyfriend was there too.
