EXT. HALL OF JUSTICE YARD - DAY
Mongul laid in the yard of the hall of justice, battered and beaten up. Bleeding to his core. Inexplicably, he vanishes! Green loops loom over his form, as they take him away. The league would later notice, and remain cautious of his possible comeback.
INT. ARGUS SUPERMAX PRISON
Now in a full orange attire --- the infamous prison uniform, or pajamas as she put it. Josie sat in her cell, deep in thought, leaning forward, fingers over face.
The cell was like something out of Star Wars. Andor, specifically.
Its height was adjusted to match Josie's, all the more to restrict any further attempts to stand tall or stretch upward. The floors, glimmering black tiles. This long mirror in the walls, was built around the cell. Below it, bright orange couches stuck to the walls with a built-in bed to the left from an inhabitant's POV upon entry.
The hatch window opened, out came Waller's voice. Josie's eyes darted over to this direction.
"Are you comfortable yet?" Waller asked.
Her brows hardened. "Amanda Waller." Josie said.
"That's right." Waller said, prideful.
"You know you're a--" She stood up, the top of her head meeting the ceiling as she rushed her standing. Grunting in pain, annoyed.
She rubbed her head. "---pain in the ass."
Waller chuckled. "Get used to it." She said.
"You know, I consider myself half-lucky. This isn't so bad." Josie chuckled, looking around.
"Comfortable cell. Orange beddings, are you kidding me? This isn't exactly a . . . shithole." She added, smirking.
"Would you rather be in a shithole?" Waller said.
Josie shifted the topic, as she was having none of that today. "I heard stories about you. Amanda Waller --- the big bad wolf of the government." She said.
"Is that what the superheroes say? Doesn't do me justice." Waller told her sternly.
"I heard you once killed an entire room of your own agents --- for knowing too much." Josie said, Waller's infamy acknowledged.
"That was off the books." Waller said. "Your entire country, or a room of men."
"And one woman." Josie added, her gaze tense towards Waller.
"How exactly do you know all this?" Waller asked.
"I'm going to have to hide secrets from the best secret-hider there is." Josie replied.
"I take it that Cyborg character enlightened you with our world's metahuman history?" Waller said. "Him or Batman's computer."
"You're a walking allegory for the system." She said.
"Coming after me for being from another universe. You must have some use for me." Josie said, stern, sitting back down on the couches to turn away from Waller.
"I don't think even a confident young woman like you understands how important it is for us to protect our world --- especially this country, from external threats." Waller said.
"Of course." Josie muttered, brows low. "I'm an illegal immigrant, from another country, and from another timeline. Doubling down on it."
"And there are no records of you existing in this world. You know how it is." Waller said. "It's one thing to be not from this planet, but from another entire universe?"
