EXT. ITALIAN RESTAURANT, GUATEMALA - DAY.
A WHILE AGO.
Seated outside the restaurant are the very familiar Robert DuBois AKA Bloodsport, Cleo Cazo AKA Ratcatcher #2 with her rat companion Sebastian, and Nanaue AKA King Shark.
The oversized walking tiburon sat with them, eating tuna pizzas whole.
DuBois had a beret and shades on, sipping from his coffee. Lucky for him, the people around them didn't mind the giant shark with legs sitting and eating with them. It's been like that for two years, ever since Corto Maltese.
"Qin Na." He says.
"What?" Asked Cleo Cazo, also wearing sunglasses, eating lasagna and sipping her coffee.
"Nerve entrapment technique. Collapses the lunges without breaking a bone." DuBois said.
"Is that what you used on the driver of the tank?" Cleo asked.
"Mate was a young one, probably got roped into that trouble, I had to come up with something that wouldn't give him serious injuries." DuBois said.
"Let me guess, he reminded you of me and your daughter?" Cleo asked, smiling. Sebastian the rat was on her shoulder, chirping, eating a piece of lasagna.
"No, he didn't. Bloody bloke was ugly." DuBois said.
Nanaue slurped on a bowl of spaghetti as if it were sentient, "Italian!"
"Yes, Nanaue. This is italian food." Cleo said.
"We got lucky they had this place up here in Guatemala. Saved us a trip to italy." He said.
Then their peace was duly interrupted by the one and only.
THE JUDGE appeared in the skies before them. Then that distorted voice got into their heads.
"Your world is broken."
"This is a broken universe. Incorrect, divided, unwanted."
"Monster nom nom?" Nanaue said, as he watched from below of this anomaly with the others. Dubois and Cleo, the most alerted.
"You have seven days before JUDGMENT."
"Ah, bloody hell." DuBois said.
INT. HALL OF JUSTICE MEETING ROOM.
Batman laid out holographic lists across the table, mapping out the many individuals they must unite in order to face the judge, possibly together.
"Other than the Society, we have the lanterns, the remaining squad members, amazonians, atlanteans . . . " He says.
Just as a figure was walking out of the dark.
This would alert the league members present.
Superman stood up from his chair, fists cupped.
Out came of the shadows was a silver-haired man, clapping slowly at them. His voice . . . somehow familiar.
"My, my, my. Is this damage control you're trying to perform, Justice League?" He asked.
Batman stood from his chair, walking towards the man and stopping in front of him. They went toe-to-toe.
"Who are you?" Batman sneered.
The man smiled.
"Why, I am the Judge." He said.
This stunned everyone in the room. Including Batman, but no one could ever tell.
"I know how much of a surprise it is to you as well, my dear inferior Batman." Judge said. "I can sense your feelings."
Superman gulped, face fierce. "Can we help you?" He sarcastically asked.
Hovering over the table to go near the judge. "Deciding fates on worlds for yourself."
"Selfish." Superman said.
Judge smiled, "Careful, Superman. What are you going to do? Snap my neck?"
This affected the kryptonian. He stopped in his tracks, lowering his gaze dauntedly.
"That is right." Judge continued to smile eerily.
"You can take physical forms?" Cyborg asked.
"No shit, sherlock." Judge said.
"As I was saying . . . " he turned to Superman. "Back to topic."
"Exactly what kind of Superman . . . takes a life on his first day putting on that cape?"
Superman looked over at them, eyes soft and regretful.
Then the Judge turned to Batman, "And you . . . a Batman who broke his rule before?"
Batman stood there, seemingly unaffected. But he truly had regrets for past actions.
"Enough!" Diana yelled, walking over.
"Oh, boy. And you were the only pure one." Judge said.
"Enough of this." Wonder Woman told him. "You need not to bring their demons into this!" She said.
"But it had to be said, Diana. And you know it." The Judge said, smiling widely.
He paced around the hall. "I am impressed. I actually never thought any of you could come up with this."
"Look, we want to unite our universe. What else do you want from us?" Superman said.
"I love to watch you all try. While you still can." The judge said.
"And now that I have seen . . . that you are actually putting effort into proving your worth."
This would come with a cost.
"You only have nineteen hours left . . . " He said, causing Cyborg, Diana, and Clark to nearly panic.
" . . . before JUDGMENT." As his voice distorted once more, the Judge quickly dissapated from the physical plane.
Silence swallows the room. The clock is now ticking.
