Superman flew in the arctic, closing in on the fortress of solitude.
It was once this kryptonian ship stuck in Metropolis placed at the Heroes Park, where Superman was once resurrected.
But ever since Superman's last bout against Luthor, saving the world from disasters that Luthor caused around the world, the ship relocated to the arctic, flying off on its own. Since then, it's been Superman's private lair filled with his equipment, achievements and memorabilia. With kryptonian crystals growing around and inside it.
He landed at the entrance. The hatches opened, and he walked in being greeted by a kryptonian droid. A floating robotic sphere.
INT. FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE - DAY
"How's the ship, Kellex?" Superman asked.
"Oh, Kal-El. You are not going to believe this." Kellex said.
"Believe what?" he asked.
"We have... intruders." Kellex said.
"Intruders?" Superman said.
"I captured them as they made their way in." Kellex said.
INT. EL HALL, FORTRESS
Since then, the ship had expanded... into something more of a fortress. The El Hall housed crystallized walls and structures. Every time he would walk in, it would be as if he traveled back in time to an earlier age of krypton at the planet's peak.
Fog clouded the abyss from below the platforms, as Clark walked forward on a terrain that lead him to a console with crystals protruding from it.
"Intruders contained, Kal-El." A disembodied voice of an AI from the ship spoke, as two large crystals emerged from the ground, to the left and right of where Superman would be standing at the console.
The top of the crystals dissolved, revealing the housed intruders. One familiar, the other --- he knew could trust.
He was a man in a blue suit, red at the bottom half. The other? White-skinned, green-haired, and bore this fancy purple suit. The Joker?
Not the younger one, no. This one was . . . Arthur Fleck. Clark saw him on TV a long time ago.
Superman raised his brow at the Atom, the one in the blue.
He waved over at Superman. "Hey, uh, I'm sorry." he said.
"The Atom?" Superman asked. "Kellex, free this man."
The crystals retracted, setting the other hero free. As much to Dr. Ryan Choi's relief, dusting off his suit as he approached Superman.
They shook hands. "Thank you, Superman."
Superman smiled at him. "I'm sorry about the fortress. It's defensive, and we kind of have something really big on our plate."
Atom nodded, arms crossed. "I know. The judge? I can't decide whether that was the most nightmarish or wackiest thing I've ever seen."
Then he pointed to the clown in the crystal chamber. "I tracked him down."
"He broke out of Arkham two years ago, and now? He's here. Trying to blow up your fortress." Atom said.
The Joker just stood there, smirking at them. He held up a finger.
Suddenly, there was another Justice League alert. Superman would hear the beeping.
"Superman. We have an anomaly." Batman said through the super-hearing.
"What?" Superman said.
He turned to the Atom. "Just a thought, my friend. Can you watch him? We have an emergency. I'll notify you."
