Guilt can do many things to people, but the most common thing it does is make one's mind weak. After Riccardo 'beat' me during his quest to get his brother back, I planned out an easy work around to stay in power. I've given my host a small section of blight to seem more convincing, acting as if Brandon was back entirely, as if I were dormant after said battle. 'My' fingers trace the faded guild mark on Brandon's hand, watching everyone catch back up with each other. They really believe anything, the amount of blind trust and lack of awareness sickens me, truly. The only one that seems even slightly concerned is the water god slayer, I think his name was Lucas? I don't know, I couldn't care less honestly. Still, even he isn't being as careful as he should. Telling both me and the bumbling blueberry everything he learned in the- uh, oh yeah, demon book.

I truly don't get how a mage such as my host can put up with all of these- insects. Riccardo being the ant queen of impossible as he almost never makes sense. I even passed off my red eye as a 'side effect' to the long period of being controlled. Though, I will need to find a way to hide it later on, especially from Michael.. The rough imperfections left from Riccardo's magic plagues Brandon's skin. I won't deny that he's strong, but his ignorance makes how he puts said magic to use a waste.

The door to our quarters opens, revealing the blue haired mage himself. I mask the outward disapproval with a facaded smile, ready to tune out most of what this idiot has to say. "Brother, do you mind taking care of the guild solo for a bit? I'm gonna head out and look for Michael so we can get that blight looked at." He asks with a slight prayer, seemingly wanting an excuse to leave the guilds island for a bit after being cooped up during that year. "How long will you be gone for?" I feel him look at me from the corner of his eyes before testing my patience once again. "Not long, promise." He smiles, that god awful smile filled with deceit and pain. "Alright then." I sigh, not actually disappointed he's leaving, more or so ready to snoop around the newly made guild hall some more since I've gotten here.

Before he leaves, I feel myself get pulled into a tight embrace, almost as a way to make sure Brandon is truly back- he's not but apparently Riccardo's too much of a dumbass to realize that. "See you soon brother!" He pulls away before walking out of the room, leaving me alone with the other guild members in the distance. This will be an interesting experience...
