Walking into the grocery store I find myself ending up in the ice-cream aisle instead of the bread, where I was supposed to be. After getting my ice-cream I walk into the bread aisle, not paying attention I hear my name being called by the most familiar voice of all. "Lia," He walks up to me as I grab my loaf of bread and walk away as my name is called once again but this time, louder.
"Lia!" He shouts. A few heads turn as I stop in my tracks to face him. "What is it?" I ask, slightly annoyed. "How are you? You aren't answering my calls." He says. "Yeah, there's a reason for that." I say as I walk into the check-out line with him following behind me. "Well, could you please pick up the phone? I do care you know." He says a bit harshly.
"Seems like it." I respond with the same harsh tone as I put my bread and cookies-n-cream flavored ice cream on the conveyor. The cashier tells me the price as the other one begins to take my bags with the bread and ice-cream in it as Harry says, "I can get it." And takes the bags from the bagger-boy as he follows me out to my car.
"Thanks," I say as I open my back door and he sits them in there. "Lia, you know I really am sorry." He says.
"Okay, Harry. I know. You just have to give me time." I say as he nods, "How much time?"
"I don't know. I'll call you when I want to talk to you," I say. The truth is I have missed Harry. It's been four days since he came over and those four days would have been spent with him if none of this happened but, it did.
HARRY'S POV:
I watch as she closes the door to her car with her in the drivers seat as she quickly glances as me with a blank look on her face as she starts her car and drives out of the supermarket parking lot as I stand there looking like a fool.
Thunder roars as I walk over to where my car is and drive home.
Arriving at my house, Gem is in the kitchen making some sort of dessert I'm sure, she always is. That girl loves to bake.I walk upstairs to my bedroom as I sit on the edge of my bed trying to decide wether I should call Lia or not. I'm beyond pissed at myself really. What the fuck was I thinking getting involved with people like that? And what the fuck was I thinking getting involved with Lia after knowing what I had done? I'm so fucking stupid.
I stand to knock the books off my desk as I sigh with my hands pressed against the wood. She wants me to give her fucking time but how much time does she need? It's been four fucking days, does she not realize how badly I miss her and need to see her?
I call her again.
Fucking voicemail of course.
I call again.
"Fucking pick up." I mumble to myself on the second ring.
"Lia," I say once I realize someone has picked up the phone.
"Harry," Her voice sounds off.
"Can I come see you?" I ask
"I'm not at homee," she adds the E in home as she slurs her sentence."Where are you then?" I ask slightly overprotective sounding but I don't fucking care. She's probably drunk or high somewhere because she's trying to deal with this bullshit pain I've put on her when I didn't even mean to.
"Uhh, out." She says.
"Out where? Please tell me. I won't come there," I lie. I'll come there once she tells me."I'm with Tate,"
"At Tate's house?"
"No I don't think he bought this place,"
"Lia please."
"Why do you need to know?"
"Just want to make sure you're okay."
"Well I'm with Tate, I'm okay," she slurs.
"Okay, have a nice night," I say as if I'm trying to leave her alone but surely she would know that's not what I'm actually doing. She tells me goodnight as I hang up the phone and quickly dial Tate's.
"Where are you?" I say once he greets me on the other line.
"At a night club actually." He says. Fuck."Where at?" I ask.
"Downtown. Not far from Subway." He responds. I hang up the phone and pick up my keys from the desk I nearly smashed earlier as I rush down the stairs and out the front door quickly as Gemma tries to stop me by asking where I'm going as I ignore her.My phone rings as I begin backing out of the driveway. Fucking Gemma. Mind your own business.
I dodge her call as I drive downtown as quickly as possible.
I go to the first club near Subway as I walk in to see Tate's bleached blonde hair from a mile away sitting on a high barstool at a high table.
I look around for my girl but she's nowhere insight as I walk up to him and ask him where she is. "Bathroom I think."
I begin walking away as he grabs my shoulder."Hold on a second, man. She'll be out in like two seconds I'm sure. Chill," He says as I huff and sit at the table with him.
I look around the dark room as I wait on her. Nothing but a bunch of young teenagers who probably aren't even twenty-one yet drinking alcohol in public like they're something special. This is why I've never cared for coming to clubs or bars. I've always liked the feeling of the alcohol rushing through my veins, I didn't care if people thought it was cool to drink or not or if people knew I did it or not. Didn't care one bit.
My blonde haired beauty walks up to us at the table with wide eyes as she says over the loud music "Why are you here?"
"I came for a drink," I say but I haven't even bothered getting anything.
She nods and begins to tumble as I get up from my seat and grab ahold of her."Maybe we should get you home," I say.
