Once back on the main ship, I was debriefed on Ian's rescue mission. They not only rescued Ian, but they also managed to assassinate the King of Tesh. With him out of the way, the Tesh people would now follow me. Earth would be saved from the Tesh's invasion.

While our scout ships searched for a habitable planet, we would remain on Earth in our hidden bases. As for Melody, her future was uncertain. We hadn't decided whether or not to sentence her to prison, which I found out was on our dying planet, or to keep her imprisoned on General Grant's ship. For now, she remained on General Grant's ship, and I no longer obsessed over torturing her.

The coronation was held in the Colorado Base and the entire underground city was transformed. Beautiful wreaths of white and pink roses with baby's breath graced doorways and lamp posts. The entire Official Monarch building that Ian and I would now call home was decorated with the same flowers and beautiful flowing white and pink gossamer. Huge silk banners were made and hung generously everywhere with the colors of my family's seal, gold, white, pinkish red, and black.

The back courtyard behind the shining pearl building was decorated the same, but also looked like a set for an expensive, overdone wedding. Rows of very comfortable looking chairs lined up for all the important leaders and head staff along with selected guests. The isle had a long pinkish red velvet carpet that led all the way down to a dais where an ancient wooden throne sat in the center of it.

I was told the wood was from our home planet and had seated over a thousand of my ancestors. It was a deep rich burgundy color with swirls of the grain around specific knot points in the wood. It had a beautiful effect. The cushion seat was the same pinkish red color seen throughout with a velvety texture, but it wasn't velvet. It was our planet's version of velvet, a more refined fabric. To me it didn't quit look like wood but was reassured it was. At least wood from our home planet. Nothing like earth's wood.

I was so nervous. My stylist worked on me all morning and I was grateful Sophia offered to stay with me. I didn't want to be alone. They put my hair up in an exquisite and intricate braided bun. Light makeup was applied and pearl-like earrings, that were my mother's, and her pearl-like necklace was put on me. My coronation gown was breathtaking—a stunning gold colored satin, white lace, and taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline, pleated bodice and skirt.

I stood in the open double doors, waiting for my cue to walk down the aisle, looking too much like a wedding or an Earth's version of a coronation. The lady who fixed the bottom of my dress motioned me to begin walking, but I took a deep breath before making that first step.

Ian and his parents sat in the front row to my right and a funny looking minister guy stood in front of the throne, waiting for me. He reminded me of a minister, but he wasn't exactly like one. He had a tall, black oblong shaped hat and a black and white suit that was like a sailor captain. He had gold-colored sashes hanging from both of his arms and in his hand, he held an old leather book.

When I was finally only a foot in front of him, I stopped and looked up to him. He announced greetings to the audience behind me and spoke of my family's history. Then he explained the ceremonial ritual I had to perform, which only made me more nervous.

First, I had to stand where I was while the ceremonial director read from the old book while I was holding a larger and older looking book. This book was not light either. It made me tilt forward at first when handed to me.

Second, I would be seated in the throne and made to drink some nasty smelling liquid. Supposedly, only my family could drink a special made elixir. If anyone else drank it and wasn't a direct descendant to my bloodline, they would die instantly.
