Chapter Two

“This has been like the best day ever.” I said to Kaylee was we sat down to eat our caramel apples. She nodded her head in agreement, her mouth full of apple.

“Pig.” I mouthed to her as I took a big bite of my apple. She rolled her eyes at me and looked out at the Ferris wheel. We were saving that ride for the last. So far we had been on all the roller coasters and even went a little window shopping, buying shell anklets and sunglasses.

We had noticed a lot of people looking at us curiously but shook it off. Surely they wouldn’t be looking at us like we were new, when this was such a big town, maybe they were just looking behind us and we thought they were looking at us.

I was finishing off my apple when Kaylee poked me and gestured that she was going to the bathroom, I nodded my head and continued daydreaming.

“Mind if we sit with you?”  A guy asked, crumbling my daydream of Channing Tatum. I looked up to see the cutest guy in the world. He had brown skater boy hair that I just wanted to run my fingers through, brown eyes, an easy smile, and the cutest dimples. He was wearing a snapback hat, a gray sweatshirt that hugged his figure greatly and ripped skinny jeans.

I bit my lip self-consciously and tucked my long fringe behind my ears. “Yeah sure.” I said sounding way to peppy. I mentally kicked myself, he probably thought I was an idiot.

He sat down and then I remembered he said we and looked across from him to see another cute guy. Definitely not as hot as him, but hot enough. He had shaggy blonde hair and an easy going smile that contradicted his blue eyes that looked like they held a million secrets.

He was wearing basketball shorts with a white hoodie that had the initials of some high school on it. Cutie number one cleared his throat and I turned to him, smiling way too big.

“So you’re either new here, or a tourist. Which one?” He asked, his brown eyes sparkling in amusement.

I took another bite of my apple, pouting my lips as I chewed. “Let’s keep that a mystery.” I said winking, my voice coming out in a husky whisper.

I mentally face palmed myself for sounding like an idiot, where was Kaylee when you needed her. I desperately needed saving from turning into my awkward self.

Being the kind guy he is though, he and his friend just chuckled. “Alright then, fair enough.” He said running his hand through his hair, messing it up attractively. “Well I’m Tyler, my friends call my Berkley.”

At my look of confusion he added on, “It’s my last name.” I nodded my head. He turned to gesture to his friend.

“And this is my friend Cameron Ryders.” Cody nodded his head at me in the sup movement. I tried to do it back, but it just looked like I was having a spaz attack.

I stuck my hand out for them to shake. “Well Tyler,” I said putting extra emphasize on his name, there was no way I was calling him Berkley, just no. “It’s really nice to meet you. You too Cameron.”

“So you going to say you’re name doll face, or more importantly your friend’s name?” Cameron asked giving me a smirk.

I snorted. “My name is Lana and of course you fell for Kaylee, good luck with that boo. You’re a goner. Oh, and that’s my sister, not friend.” I said

Cameron’s smirk slipped a little and he glared at me. I stuck my tongue out at him, not my fault me and Kaylee didn’t date. Back at our old school, we were known for being heartbreakers. It’s not that we didn’t want to have a long relationship with a guy, it just never seemed right. So it seemed we would stay single forever.
