Chapter Twelve

Author's Note:

I've decided to speed up the twilight plot up so that it fits in well with my story. Don't worry twilight will remain the same just sped up for my stories sake. 

Katalina's POV:

I walked out of the warehouse, I couldn't believe Nik actually did that to me. I stood outside the warehouse with my hand on my forehead. Right then and there I wanted to burst into tears. I jumped with I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Elijah.

"Are you alright, Elskan?" He asked me.

"No... no I'm not. Why would he do something like that?!" I asked.

"I do not know, Elskan." Elijah pulls me into a hug. We heard the door to the warehouse open, we both turned around to find a very guilty Nik looking at me. Elijah kissed me on my forehead and waked inside leaving Nik and I. 

"Kat-" Nik said before I interrupted him.

"Why would you do something like that?" I asked him.

"I shouldn't have done that to you.. I'm sorry, love." Nik said to me. I looked up at him and I could see the guilt and sincerity in his eyes. 

"I don't know what he's hiding... even if I did you should know I would tell you." I tell him. 

"Truly I'm sorry." He said. 

"J-Just don't do it again. Next time I won't be so forgiving." I tell him.

"I promise you it will never happen again." He said to me. Nik pulls me into a hug, holding me tight. As we pulled away I noticed on the roof across the warehouse stood Jane, Alec, Demetri and Felix. 

"I'll be back." I said and I sped towards them. 

"Jane.." I said.

"Katalina." She said.

"What can I do for you?" I asked.

"The Master's want us to make sure you're enjoying yourself." Jane said.

"What do you want Jane?" I asked.

"Can't we check in on our newest sister?" Alec asked.

"Not without being up to something. So tell me what are you doing in Chicago?" I asked.

"We were on our way to Seattle, rumors of a newborn army has surfaced. Aro sent us to check on it." Jane said.

"So you made a little pit stop to make sure I was okay? Or to make sure I wouldn't go back to The Cullen's." I said.

"Perhaps." Jane said. 

"I can assure you I'm perfectly fine where I'm at." I said.

"Okay." She said.

"Now if you'll excuse me I have something important to attend too." I said as I then sped back int the warehouse. When I walked in I saw the coffins being loaded up into the truck. Stefan still lying on the floor with his neck snapped. 

"Come, love. We're leaving." Nik said. 

"Were are we going?" I asked.

"Why, Mystic Falls of course." He said with a smile. 

~Mystic Falls~

 We're back in Mystic Falls, we found out what Stefan was hiding. Elena was alive. Nik, Elijah and Rebekah went to the High School to find Elena while I went to see Jenna. I knocked on the door and standing there was Ric.

"Katalina." He said.

"Hi, is Jenna home?" I asked.

"Is that Katalina?" I watch as Jenna sped towards the door with a smile on her face. 

"Hey." I said to her. 

"Come in." Jenna said. I smiled and walked in.

"So I have good news." She said. I looked at her with worry.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Good news, your officially a Gilbert." Jenna said and I smiled. 

"The adoption when threw?" I asked and she nodded. 

"Ric and I cleaned out my sisters room for you. All we need to do it get your things." She said. I pulled Jenna into a hug.

"Thank you." I say to her. 

"Katalina." I hear Jeremy say as he walks down the stairs. He walks up to me and pulls me into a hug. 

"Hey Jeremy." I said to him.

"I wanna thank you again for saving Aunt Jenna." He said to me.

"You don't need to thank me Jeremy. So, how pissed is Elena?" I asked. He laughed a bit.

"She's grateful that you saved Jenna but also hates you." He said. 

"Well, she can hate me all she wants. I don't particularly like her either." I said. 

"I don't expect you too." Jeremy said. 

~Later that night~

I went back to my old home to pack my things I heard the front door open and slam shut. I sped down to see who walked in and it was Elijah and Nik. Nik had the look of panic on his face. 

"What's going on?" I asked.

"I have to leave town for a bit." Nik said. When Nik explained to me what was going on I as pissed. How could Damon do something like this? 

"For your safety its best if you stay here with Elijah away from the doppelganger." Nik said. 

"Wouldn't I be safer with Jenna? I mean he can't get into the house." I asked.

"Please.." Nik said. I sighed and nodded. 

"If it will give you peace of mind then I'll stay here." I said. 

"Thank you." He said. 

After I said my goodbyes to Nik I angerly drove to The Boarding House. When I got out I sped into the house looking for Damon. When Damon looked at me he smiled. 

"Katalina." He said. I walked over to him and slapped him across the face. 

"What is wrong with you?! How could you do something like this?!" I yelled. 

"Katalina.." Damon tried to say.

"No Damon! Why would you do this?" I asked. 

"I'm trying to keep Elena safe." He said causing me to scuff.

"Of course, its always about Elena. I'm your mate Damon as I said before I should come first. But obviously that doesn't matter to you." I said. 

"It does matter!" He yelled.

"Until you figure out who's more important Damon. I don't want to see you." I said walking out of the house. After leaving The Boarding House I went home where Elijah was waiting for me. I walked in and saw him sitting there with a book reading on the couch. I walked up to him and sat next to him. 

"He didn't for Elena.." I said looking down at the ground. 

"He's my mate and he finds my twin more important than me." I said. Elijah put the book down and looked at me.

"Than it is his loss." Elijah said. I leaned against him as he wraps his arms around me. I don't need him. Elijah and Nik are enough for me. Its Damon's loss then if he can't chose.

I was thinking of adding another mate for Katalina. Who should be the fourth mate? Please let me know in the comments below.
