The next day
* Another day passes, and another day, izuku gets closer to his goals. Even if right now he was at a bit of a crossroads regarding what he'd be doing. Though, izuku couldn't think about that now. Since thanks to the fight with Rumi, izuku had to go to therapy with Inui for appearance's sake. We see him sitting down, with his ever-present smile on his face, as he hears what the therapist asked him.*
Izuku: Am I a good person?
Inui: That is what I asked yes. Are you a good person? Do you believe that you're a good individual?
* Inui asked, repeating what he had said before. Izuku chuckled. As he crossed one of his legs, holding it with his bandaged hands, and gave a fake, thoughtful look on his face, he couldn't help but give a crooked grin to Inui, finding it amusing, that he was wasting his time here. Well, not so much amused as annoyed. But still, semantics.*
Izuku: Now that's quite the question, now isn't it? Why do you want to know?
Inui: So that I can get a good idea of where your mental state is at
*inui explained, as he kept clicking his pen on and off, the sound filling the room, with the soft tick, tick, tick, of the clock in front of Izuku. Izuku hummed her, and moved his head around his neck, to give his neck a bit of a stretch, finding that more valuable use of his time than answering this question.*
Izuku: I see. Like I said, that's quite the question, since what does it mean to be a good person? If you ask someone like my mother, she would say being kind and respectful to everyone, including those who cross you
Inui: And you don't believe that?
*Inui asked, making izuku laugh softly, at that question. To be respectful to people who are lesser than him? To be respectful towards people who think they're better than him? To be respectful in general? He tried it once. And what did it bring him? Nothing but pain. So no. Izuku didn't even believe it even a little. The world killed the kindness that Izuku had to give.*
Izuku: No. Since I believe that a good person is someone who respects himself. A person who knows what he wants and takes it for himself
Inui: That's not a good person, since what will that person do if say he wants something another person has?
*inui asked, trying to get Izuku in a gotcha question. Of course, that's not what he was doing, izuku just perceived it as such. Izuku shrugged at the thought, remembering a certain classmate in his old school, an old memory that almost made him lose his smile. But he ignored it, putting it at the back of his mind, before responding, defending his worldview.*
Izuku: he'll take it, but if he respects himself, he won't humiliate himself getting it. He'll stop when said other person says no. He won't beg or be "just friends." Nah, he'll move on. Also, what do you mean, no? You asked me, and I told you what I believe is a good person
