Chapter 24 : Happy Days

• Next Morning , 9 a.m. •

~ Lachlan's POV ~ ( A/N : Bet ya didn't see this one coming ;P )

I woke up to the soft sound of Maddie's breathing , not that I had a problem with Maddie's breathing , I actually find it quite cute when she's sleeping .

I let out a small yawn and rubbed my eyes .

I quietly got out of her bed and slipped on my shoes .

I know this is a really early time to be waking up but my mind kinda got used to it when Maddie and I were working a long distance relationship .

I grabbed her room key from the beside table and silently walked out of her room , locking the door behind me .

I got into a elevator , went to my room , got ready and then went back to Maddie's room with my laptop , ready to maybe edit some videos and check Twitter .

When I got back into the room , Maddie was still asleep .

I sat down cross legged on her bed and logged onto Skype .

I clicked my contacts and clicked on my mom's , deciding to call her .

It rang a few times before my mom's tried face popped onto the screen .

" Hey mom " I smiled and she gave me a smile back .

" Good night Lachlan " she greeted me .

" It's morning here ".

" Then good morning " she replied .

We talked for a little bit , me trying my best not to wake up Maddie who was sleeping the whole time .

My mom was just in the middle of telling me about my brother when suddenly , someone jumped on my back , making me almost drop my laptop .

" Good morning ! " Maddie cried happily , giving me a kiss on the cheek .

I haven't told my mom about Maddie yet . My mom is one of those moms that like to always know what's going on in their kids lives .

Don't get me wrong , I love my mother more than anything but sometimes she can be really embarrassing . I have never really been in a serious relationship and I don't want my mom to scare Maddie away !

Maddie turned towards my laptop and she looked like a deer caught in the headlights ..

" Hello , good morning " she waved and my mom gave her a warm smile .

" Mads , this is my mom " I introduced .

" Oh , hello Mrs . Power " she said nervously .

" Hello " she replied .

" Um , nice to meet you . I better leave you and Lachlan to your
conversation " she said quickly before getting off the bed and heading to the bathroom , shutting the door behind her .

As soon as Maddie was busy in the bathroom , my mom started back up the conversation .

" Lachlan , who was that ? " she asked , raising a eyebrow .

" My girlfriend " I mumbled .

" Excuse me ? " she pushed .

" My girlfriend " I said , covering my mouth with my hand .

" What did you say Lachlan ? " she asked , her voice raising .

" My girlfriend " I sighed .

Her eyes went wide . " When did this happen ? ".

" 4 months ago " I sighed .

" And why didn't you tell me ? " she asked concerned .
