• Same Day , 10 a.m. ; Rob's Recording Room •
~ Maddie's POV ~
" I wanted to do this before it got too crazy . You know , just the two of us " Lachlan explained , plopping down on the blow up mattress we slept on ; causing it to raise then fall back down .
Lachlan woke me up really early so we could celebrate our birthday in peace , without the distraction of everyone and everything else .
It felt so calm . Just Lachlan and I , natural sunlight illumining the room ; the only sound heard being our voices and the birds chirping outside .
" Great idea " I agreed , looking down at my poorly wrapped gifts nervously in my lap .
What if he doesn't like it ? I tried my hardest but I have no don't know anything about the video games that Lachlan plays and I didn't want to ask him cause it's something I should know as his girlfriend of 7 months .
" I'll go first " I volunteered .
Might as well get it over with ....
I handed the two gifts to Lachlan . " Sorry I wrapped them in Christmas wrapping paper . That's the one paper your mom had in your household ".
He cracked a small smile . " My mom is a very festive person ".
Maybe he might like them ...
Lachlan ripped the Christmas wrapping paper , revealing the sweater .
" Aw ! Maddie ! The Drake sweater I'd been dying to get ! " he cried excitedly , holding up the black owl sweater .
A small weight lifted off my shoulders . One gift down , one more to go .
" I prayed that you didn't have it yet . Otherwise this would have been really awkward " I smiled .
" Thank you Mads . You are the best girlfriend ever " Lachlan thanked , giving me a quick kiss .
" I know ," I bragged , flipping my hair over my shoulder dramatically , " okay , now open the other one ".
Without hesitating , Lachlan ripped the wrapping paper ; stopping midway .
" This is not what I think it is ".
" It could be " I smirked .
" The official Assassin Creeds hoodie ?! " Lachlan cried , throwing the paper away from the blue and white sweater .
" I thought that you might want to wear it during your assassination H2M episodes " I pointed out .
Lachlan pulled me into a tight hug . " Thank you Maddie ".
I hugged him back just as tight .
" Which one was your favourite ? "
I asked as Lachlan started to gather the paper .
" The Assassin Creed hoodie " Lachlan responded quickly causing me to laugh .
He scrunched up the wrapping paper into a ball before setting it neatly on the bed .
