Sierra sucked in a deep breath. Sierra heard footsteps, but her feet were stuck to the ground. She felt tears forming in her eyes. "Sierra honey, what's-" Sierra looked up from the note. She felt a tear roll down her cheek. "Come here, " her mom said pulling Sierra into a hug. "It's all my fault," Sierra sobbed. "Honey, come into the living room," her mom ushered Sierra into the living room. Sierra watched as her mom pulled her dad aside. A moment later they were sitting beside her on the couch. "Honey tell us everything," her mom said. Sierra told the whole story, starting at volleyball practice and ending with the note about Bailey. Throughout the whole story her parents remained silent. "Sweetheart, why didn't you tell us?" her mom asked putting a hand on her shoulder. "I-I thought I could handle it myself," she said. "Sierra you can tell us the truth," her dad said. "I didn't want to put your lives in danger," she said wiping the tears from her face. "Sweetheart, you know you can tell us anything," her mom said pulling her into an embrace."I know, and now it's all my fault that Bailey's missing," Sierra said as tears were streaming down her face. "Honey, it's not your fault," her dad said. "We will find her," her mom told her reassuringly. Sierra nodded and got up to wipe her face off. She grabbed a washcloth out of the linen closet and soaked it in hot water. She wiped her face and hung the washcloth up in the shower. Sierra looked at herself in the mirror. "I don't know what to do," she said to herself. She walked out of the bathroom and went into her room. She grabbed her phone off her dresser and sat down on her bed. She flipped through all of the texts she had sent to Bailey in the past year. She could feel tears forming in her eyes. She was about to stop but she saw pictures of her and Bailey at the championship volleyball game last year. Sierra took a deep breath and sat her phone down. She stood up from her bed and looked at herself in her mirror. She picked up the note she had gotten earlier and
