We walked through the doors of the magic shop in silence, neither of us knowing quite what to say. I mean what could you say? Thanks for making out with me, let's do it in front of your possible girlfriend sometime?
As soon as the bell chimed Chanel and Lea looked at us in alarm. Chanel rushed to me faster than I could blink. "Where the hell were you--" Chanel blinked a few times and a sly smirk stretched across her face. "Oh, wow."
Cole didn't try to cover anything up instead he shrugged. Where as myself, I wanted to slip into a puddle in the ground. Being found out by your friend of what you did because of your intense sexual emotion? That can't be the most comforable thing in the world. Lea looked as confused as ever and looked at Cole. "What am I missing?"
"Oh nothing just some private stuff," Chanel waved her off dismissively. "But the woman is ready to see us now. She's in the back talking to Rex."
"I'm right here child. No need to make your friends move." An older woman, probably the same age as my grandmother, popped out of a curtain and appeared in front of us with a welcoming smile. "Hello, you two must be Cole and Cecila. It's nice to meet you. I am Madame Estrella. But call me Ella."
"Hello Ella," Cole reached his hand out politly and Ella returned the favor. "I assume you already know why we're here."
"Yes!" She clapped her hands together enthusically. "You wanted to know more about the items in the box and whether or not they are safe. I am also somewhat of a psychic my boy. But I can only see images and not moving pictures. I see a lot of blood and gore and death. But when I handed these items to your friends over there I saw light and sunshine. I know you all can tell the difference in the two."
"Yeah but what do these items do exactly? How will they help us?"
"The stone will be used for truth. When holding the stone honesty and truth will be surronding you. Think of it as a truth serum but in rock form. And it only can be used by the person holding it. The liquid is for a burst in your power. Say your powers are drained and there is nothing else you could possibly do. Drink the liquid and you will instantly be back to your old self again. And your powers will be stronger than before. The only downfall is, you could very well lose your power too."
"Well that's a sucky drink. I'd rather booze." Rex muttered.
"We already know what the amulet does right Cel?" Cole said disapprovingly. I looked away from him and at the woman.
"If you think of someone you immediatly get sent into their memories right?"
"That's correct. Have you tried it my child?"
I smiled weakly. "You can say something like that."
"Wait if we have something like that in our control that means we can use that aganist Victor. Can't we?" Lea suggested eagerly.
"Yeah! We just need someone to wear the necklace and think of Victor." Chanel responded.
"I already went through that and I don't think I'm up for another one so I'm out." I said quickly. No way was I going into Victor's memories of all things. "And Chanel you shouldn't, you are just starting to get your energy back."
"That's true Chanel," Rex said softly and Chanel just scoffed. "And Cole and I can't do it because we need to be protecting you ladies."
"I'll do it." Lea whispered.
We all looked at her in unison. "You aren't going anywhere near Victor again Lea." Cole said warningly. It wasn't all that surprising that he felt protective of her but that didn't mean it hurt any less.
