When people say that you should trust them it's usually the time to get really worried. Because in Rex's case, you can always be sure that his plans are the most heart attack inducing ones to boot.
And the fact that Rex was teaching my History class right now is a shock in itself.
And the worst part? Cole was his teacher assistant.
All the girls in the class before we even walked in heard that we were getting a huge batch of new staff in the next couple of days but no one, included Chanel and I, knew it was going to be two of the boys we've been running around with.
And man do teenage girls swoon.
I couldn't exactly blame them either. Both boys looked like they came out of a business attire for men magazine. Rex was wearing a white button up with a red tie that was slightly loose around his neck. He wore a blazer over it that was black and was tight enough to look like it was made specifically to fit him and black pants to match.
Cole however look dangerously sexy.
He wore a similar white button down except the sleeves were rolled up to his mid-arm and he slicked his hair back that made him look professional yet bad. Again, like I said, dangerously sexy. I couldn't deny that I was among the rest of the girls in their group swoon.
Chanel on the other hand looked like she wanted to murder something.
I leaned over and pat her arm lovingly. "Remember your powers. The last thing we need is murderous females out for blood."
"What's so wrong with that? They might all direct it towards him."
I gave her a half-smile and turned my attention to Rex who was putting all of his papers on the desk. "Okay class," He cleared his throat and the whispering stopped completely. I think that's the first time I've been in a classroom and it's been dead silent. Of course Rex's first day and he gets the attention of every teenager in the room.
All I know is Rex and Cole have a lot of explaining to do.
"My name is Rex. My last name was given to me by my father and since he's was a piece of crap to me that's all I go by. If you want, you can call me Mr. Rex although don't be surprised when I laugh in response before acknowledging you." He smirked and some of the class giggled. He stood in front of his desk and continued. "I'm a long term sub for this class. Due to the loss of some teachers around here. And this," he gestured to Cole who picked his head up and winked at me. "Is Cole. He also just goes by his first name for personal reasons."
Wow, I don't know what was quicker my heart beat or the glares of envy I was getting from a lot of the other girls.
A hand shot up in the air. Jamie Sheckler, I think was her name. Her bracelets clinking together. Rex nodded her head in her direction.
"So uh, how long are you guys going to be here?"
Rex looked at Cole who shrugged. "Not sure. Whenever they hire an actual teacher I guess. Why trying to get rid of us already?"
Jamie was a pale girl on a good day but after hearing Rex directly speak to her make her skin almost disappear. "Uh n-no! I was just w-wondering."
Rex smiled. "Good. Anybody else got a question for us?"
I raised my hand and Rex smirked. "Cole maybe you might want to answer this student."
"With pleasure." Cole said in his inviting voice. "What's your question?"
