Fairly long chapter. My bad.
Scene 1
Your P.O.V

The feeling of your limbs being reattached was a welcome one. Now with your healthy tail, you could jump from one precarious platform to the other without a problem.
Obviously, the anxiety of falling to your death was prominent. But at least there would be a lower chance of that happening in the first place.
"Hey, get a move on! Rule 1 remember!"
Arti's voice seemed to bounce off the metal walls, making it much sound louder than it should've been. But due to the sheer noise she could make when Artificer felt like it, you doubted if there was an amplifier in play.
"Not all of us have a blast jump Arti!"
"Wow, thanks Captain Obvious! Where the feck is your ship while you're out sailing the goddamn shoreline?!?" She was still her sarcastic, snarky self, even after that woefully embarrassing shelter segment. Such behavior was typical for such a rudimentary slugcat such as her, but you wouldn't have it any other way. "Do you want me to carry you again?"
You weren't completely against the idea; however, you had a status to uphold. Well, the last burnt shreds of one anyway.
"I'll pass"
"Then hurry the bloody hell up!"
After a while of climbing, you reached the small metal platform that led to the next room.
Arti was precariously sitting near the edge, swinging her legs while waiting for you. She had a freshly obtained spear, fashioned from some scrap metal she haphazardly stuck together with a mixture of vines, fabric and spit.
"Why do you even bother to wait for me at this point?" You were a little puffed out after the exercise, single handedly escalating a section of The Leg was a little difficult.
At least before the pain of hunger outweighed the uncomfortableness of muscle strain.
"Your guess is as good as mine, now let's go" Artificer's reply was blunt, almost like a dulled spear tip. She sure was in a hurry for something.
"Wow, thanks..."
You climbed through the access pipe and crawled into the next room, there's was much to be done this cycle.

"... this is kinda peaceful"
Wind was felt when you entered the next area, this place was on the exterior of the superstructure. You could see massive metal supports keeping this place upright, and green floes rising up from some unknowable place deep below.
This view reminded you of home, the place where the wind blew just as harshly but instead of this depressing grey sky, there was a bright golden sunlight that warmed your very soul.
It made you feel melancholic. Your parents must be worried sick about you back at home. Or not, you don't remember them that much.
You didn't know if you had siblings, but you did know you had some sort of family, it'd be nice to have a reunion.
