I came home with tears running down my cheeks. My parents wouldn't care, so I just quickly headed upstairs to my room.
Flopping down on my bed, I looked up to the starry ceiling. I was twelve when I put them up, right after we moved. The stars helped me get over my fear of ghosts. Yup, I said it. Ghosts. I thought that Kieran was the only good ghost, and that all the others were evil, moving around with me.
After 3 minutes of staring, a big body plopped itself on me. I didn't need to look to see it was my husky, Sea. Weird name, I know. But, Kieran and I thought it was a good idea because his eyes were a clear turquoise, like the sea.
'Hi, Sea.' I thought, stroking his fur.
'You ok there?' He stuck his tongue out and started panting, so I guess that meant he was fine.
Soon after, I gently pushed him next to me, so I could do my work. I was bored, tired, and slightly emotionally unstable, so homework would be a great distraction.

There was a soft knock on my door, interrupting my beauty sleep. Who dares to fucking wake me up, NOW?
"Kassandra? Kassandra, get up." A voice as soft as the knock came to me.
I made a loud and deep groan.
"Honey, you can't be late for school, you do know that. Right?" Oh. It's my mum.
I wanted to stay there and sleep forever, but, my stomach had other plans. It growled loudly as the smell of coffee and bacon came floating to me.
'Food? Sleep? Food? Sleep? Food...? Sleep......? FOOOOOOOD!' I thought.
It's really my thought process every school day. Only that my mum wouldn't be knocking on my door.
I got up, still half asleep, and moved around my bathroom. I threw on a pair of blue slightly ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, my paint-splattered hoodie and grey high tops, with paint on it. I patted my hair down with a brush, and ran downstairs to the kitchen. Food heaven.
"Morning, Kassandra."
My dad said as I tossed at least 7 pieces of bacon, 3 toasted pieces of bread, and many spoonfuls of eggs onto my plate. I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down to start eating. My mum watched the whole process with some disgust in her face.
"Kass, why do you have so much food on your plate? You wouldn't be able to eat so much, it's not right." My mother said.
'Fine then. Make this morning hard.'
I thought, silently sending the message to her. Then, while stuffing bacon on top of toast into my mouth, I wrote on a nearby piece of paper:
Good morning, dad. Mum. Hope you can enjoy this fine morning as much as I am. And to answer you mother, it is right. It's called being a growing girl. Last time I checked, I could eat whatever I want. Which includes how much.
My mother looked surprised at this but I didn't care. I finished my food, still kinda hungry, gave a pat to Sea, and left to head to class.

Once I reached the hell hole, everyone seemed to have more interest in me than normal. Normally, freshman and the sophomores are looking at me and asking the juniors and seniors why people are cowering away from me this time, and why I'm alone.
But, now everyone had their eyes on me.
And it was bothering the HELL out of me.
I looked to find the nearest sophomore to ask them what's up.
