Chapter 2

Jake POV -

I woke up the next morning to a loud cry coming from my daughters room, "I wonder who just woke up.." I said to myself before sitting up and realised I was in bed.

I looked on the bedside table and found a note. 

'Morning Jake, You fell asleep on me last night. No big deal. So I moved you to bed and checked on Legacy before I left. I locked the door too then put the key under the door, Okay buddy? Cool. I'll text you later. I hope you feel better. CC' 

I chuckled to myself then quickly stood up and ran to Legacy's room. I picked her up gently and kissed her forehead, "It's okay baby, Daddy's got you" I whispered to her as she began to calm down.

After feeding and changing Legacy, I lay down on the couch with her in my arms. 

My phone vibrated. A text from CC. 

- hey dude, I was wondering if you want to go for a drink? ;) cc

- Maybe but I'd have to find someone to look after Legacy first

- Gotcha covered, Andy and Ashley said they'd look after your little bundle of joy :D

- alright then, what time are you going out?

- 8 ish, I'll pick you up around then and we can hit the town 

- fine by me. 

- awesome!!! See ya later bro! ;p 

I shook my head at the texts, CC is always so happy and full of energy. I wish I was like that. 

Legacy began to wriggle around and whine quietly. "What's the matter princess?" I asked her as if she would reply.

She pulled my hair gently with her tiny fingers then let her head fall against my chest.

She's so perfect. 

After about 20 minutes Legacy was fast asleep in my arms. It was a peaceful moment until my phone started ringing. I sighed angrily as Legacy began to wake up. This had better be important.

"Hello?" I answer a little more angry than I meant for it to be.

"Oh hey Jake.. I was just calling to say me and Ashley are on the way to get Legacy. Do you have her stuff ready?" It was Andy. I checked the time, it was already 5:35. Shit.

"Uh yeah, Just gotta get a few more things. Are you sure you don't mind having her for the night?" I asked as I stood up, holding my daughter close as I walked towards her room.

"I told you before I don't mind babysitting" he chuckled warmly down the phone. "Anyway we'll be there in about 15 minutes" we exchanged goodbyes before hanging up.

I placed Legacy gently into her crib then began packing a bag for her, "Are you gonna miss daddy tonight?" I asked with a small smile on my face. 

Legacy just wriggled around and began chewing the ear on her teddy bear. 

"I hope you remember Andy and Ashley. They'll give you lots of treats and toys. Then daddy will pick you up tomorrow morning" I whispered to her as I finished packing a bag full of stuff for her.

I picked her up again then kissed her forehead, "Daddy loves you more than anything." I told her before I heard an knock on the door. 

I put the bag over my shoulder and walked to the front door, opening it to reveal Andy and Ashley. 

Ashley immediately took the bag from me and waved at Legacy who hid her face in my chest.

"Thanks for taking care of her tonight" I said as I slowly handed her over to Andy. 

This is the first time I will have been without her since she got home from the hospital. I took her everywhere with me. It felt wrong letting her go, but I needed a night out then things will go back to normal.

A few seconds after I handed her over, she started whimpering and holding out her tiny arms for me. It broke my heart. 

"Legacy, it'll be okay. You will be treated like princess with them. Daddy will see you tomorrow" I kissed her cheek gently then stood up straight. 

"We'll see you tomorrow Jake. Be careful, okay?" Andy said then gave me a small smile.

"I will be. Thanks again" I waved at them both as they left. 

After I'd closed the door, I felt alone. Really alone. I missed her already. Shit. 

Get it together, just a few more hours and I'll be partying just like when I was on tour with the guys.

I walked quickly to the bathroom to shower. Not long now and CC will be here.

I hope something good comes of tonight.
