The golden hues of dusk filtered through the curtains as Maryam sank onto the living room sofa, releasing a tired sigh after an exhausting day. Moments later, Yahya returned from the office, loosened his tie, and settled beside her with a content smile. She leaned her head back against the sofa, eyes fluttering shut for a brief second before catching his warm gaze.

"Tired?" he asked softly, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Very," she groaned dramatically, making him chuckle.

"The kids?" Yahya prompted with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What trouble did they stir today?"

Maryam huffed, shaking her head. "The boys are impossible. Ibrahim thought it was a good idea to take them out to buy colors and drawing books. Yazdan, being Yazdan, decided that Adam would look better covered in paint. Adam, of course, tolerated it like the mature big brother he is—until Yazdan did it again." She narrowed her eyes. "Then all chaos broke loose. The dining room floor? A complete battlefield."

Yahya laughed heartily, his deep baritone filling the room. "Where are they now?"

"With Ibrahim, playing PlayStation," Maryam said, waving her hand dismissively. "And Ayesha's with Zahran and Sara upstairs."

"Zahran?" Yahya arched a brow.

"Yeah," Maryam confirmed, smiling. "He's here to take Sara back."

Just as she spoke, Sara appeared at the top of the staircase, gracefully descending with baby Ayesha cradled in her arms. Behind her, Yazdan bounded down, his little feet thumping loudly against the wooden steps.

"Baba!" Yazdan squealed excitedly, sprinting toward Yahya and flinging his arms around him.

Yahya grinned, scooping up his son. "Hey, champ!"

Adam followed with a more composed demeanor, the eldest of the three boys, carrying a hint of pride in his gait.

Sara reached the bottom of the staircase and smiled. "I think she's sleepy," she said, gently passing Ayesha to Yahya.

He took his baby girl into his arms, his expression softening instantly. "Come here, my little princess," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

As Sara waved goodbye and left with Zahran, Maryam playfully narrowed her eyes at Yahya. "I thought I was your only princess."

Adam, ever the charmer, grinned cheekily. "Don't worry, Mama. You're my princess."

Maryam burst into laughter as he tugged at her hand, trying to drag her into a game of chase.

"Mine too!" Yazdan chimed in enthusiastically. "Mama is my sweetheart!"

Yahya arched a brow, barely holding back his laughter. "Sweetheart, huh?" he teased, shaking his head.

Maryam, biting back a laugh, scolded him lightly. "Stop laughing, Yahya. You're spoiling them!"

He pressed a tender kiss to Ayesha's forehead before grinning mischievously at his wife. "Excuse me," he declared smugly. "But only I get to call my wife sweetheart."

Maryam rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the warmth blooming in her chest. She watched as Yahya cradled Ayesha lovingly, Yazdan clung to his arm, and Adam giggled while chasing after them.

This was her world — chaotic, loud, and filled with boundless love. A family she couldn't imagine living a single day without.

Her pretty little family.
