Just imagine the gif being Bethany Mota and not Nina lol

"Welcome camp students! My name is Trixie as some of you may already know." The same cheery woman who squeezed me when I first got here spoke into a large megaphone on the stage. "Today is the annual three legged sack race. Yay!" She jumped and clapped her hands but frowned when no one else did. "Yay!" She jumped and clapped again but still no respone.

"Clap!" She screamed, breaking from her sweet character. It was...scary. Everyone began to clap, muttering about how annoying she was. Frankly, I just found her creepy. But I'd be pretty annoyed if I was putting effort into something and no one else cared so I didn't blame her.

"Okay, this is how it works. You will all have to choose a partner. Each team will receive one sack. Participants stand side-by-side and put leg closest to each other in the burlap sack. The first team to cross the finish line win!"

"What's the prize?" Someone shouted out.

"The prize is the joy of winning." She smiled. "That's more than enough. Okay, now everyone has 5 minutes to pick a team mate."

I needed to find Sylvia and ask her to be my partner quickly. The only people I knew here was Sylvia and Barclay the jerkface and I sure as hell wasn't going to be his partner.

I spotted her standing next to Julian a few metres away from me. "Vee! Thank goodness I found you. We're partners, right?"

"Oh darn. I'm so sorry, Rhiannon. Julian just asked me to be his partner." She said pitifully.

"Oh..." I frowned. "That's okay, I'll just find someone el—"

"Looks like you already have, princess." Barclay appeared next to me with a devilish smirk on his face. "And a terribly good looking one at that."

"No, no, no and NO." I poked him on the chest getting harder and harder with each 'no'.

He feigned hurt. "Damn girl, you really know how to break a man's heart."

I gave him the straightest straight face of all time. "Lord, kill me now. Please."

"Well, aren't you guys the cutest couple ever." Sylvia said in awe.

"We aren't dating." I said at the same time Barclay said "Well thank you."

I gave him a glare which caused him to laugh. Again. Why does he always laugh at me? I'm not that much of a funny person.

"Well, Julian and I are gonna go get ready for the race now. Good luck." Sylvia gave me a quick hug before dragging Julian away.

"And then there were two." Barclay smirked.

"I am not going to be your partner, jerkface."

"Jerkface?" Barclay chuckled. "I guess we're already on a cute nick name basis."

I scoffed at his remark before walking away.

"Where are you going?" Barclay pulled my hand. "Come on, princess, don't be like that."

"You said you would try to be slightly less annoying."

"Trust me, this is the slightly less annoying version of me." Barclay said.

"Alright. I'm only going to be your partner because I have no other friends here, alright?" I gave in. "And don't call me princess. It makes me feel all weird and shit."
