Chapter 10

Bethany's pov

1 week 5 days since funeral

I was currently sitting on Hayes bed. Him downstairs getting food and drinks. We decided to watch some random movie. He seems really ancy tonight. Like he was acting all awkward and stuff, and I'm hoping he's not like planning a break up or anything.

It's been almost two weeks since the funeral, which means it's 1 week until Hayes and I's one year. I'm so happy. I can't believe I've been able to be with such an amazing guy. He's so sweet.

It's been hard. The day after the funeral we took things down from Maeve's room. And out of like her clothes. She was my size, because I'm so short for my age and she was my height so I took some of her clothes. I took a lot of her stuff. Memorable stuff. I hung up some pictures of us when we were younger. And a card she made for me when I was really sick one time. I found all of it. It was really emotional. I hated and loved it. 

"Babe are you okay?" Hayes asked. I guess he was standing at the door for a little and I was getting all teary eyed.

"Yeah I'm okay. Food ready? I'm starvin marvin" I replied. Wiping my eyes lowkey.  He walked in. Put the food down, and sat down next to me. I sat up and turned so I was facing him.

"Baby girl" he said. If this emoji '😻' was real, I would be doing it right now

"Yes" I replied. Not knowing what the heck to say.

"Can we talk, like serious talk" he said. His voice went a tone lower and he looked all confused.

I gestured for him to say something. I don't know what's happening. Is he going to break up with me? I didn't do anything wrong. Ugh. My head is killing me.

"So I need to tell you something. And I don't know what you're going to think" he said

"So i just don't think that this can work anymore" he said

"WHAT THE HELL. ITS BEEN SO GREAT LATELY. WHAT ARE YOU....." He cut me off

"IM JUST KIDDING HAHA I LOVE YOU" he said. Coming over and hovering over me kissing me.

"I do have something to tell you tho," uh oh what's he gonna say now "okay so i planned something for you. I know you really miss the magcon fam. And I know that you've wanted to go to Hawaii. So I planned a trip. We leave in two days. Everyone is coming"

AISHZUWKSO. DID HE REALLY PLAN A TRIP? That's so sweet of him! Oh my gosh!

"BABE OH MY GOD! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" I shouted "wait does my mom know and stuff?" I asked

"Princess it's all taken care of. All you have to worry about is packing all of your stuff. And make sure you bring a nice outfit or two. I have some things planned. Oh and make sure you get that cute little booty inside that plane next to me." Awe this is so sweet of him. I'm so happy oh my gosh.

"BETHANY, HAYES ARE YOU OKAY?" I heard a voice and some footsteps running towards the door. Nash came bursting through. Hayes, still hovering over me, quickly bolted off.

"Nash wtf are you doing" Hayes said sarcastically

"Oh I heard screaming and I don't know I just thought something was wrong" Hayes pointed at us and gave him a look "OHHHH!" He exclaimed "YOU TOLD HER ABOUT HAWAII! ARE YOU EXCITED?!" He shouted and came over.

"Yes I'm so excited!" I said. I checked my phone. It was 9:30 holy shit.
"Babe, I gtg. Mikes gonna kill me if I'm not home. I need to get my mom to sign some cheer stuff too. ANDDD I got a new cheer uniform so I have to do new head shots and stuff" I said. My mom was a professional photographer. So she could do them for me no problem.

"Okay. Can I drive you home?" He said. Nash was still sitting there on his phone. I didn't know what he was doing though.

I know he gets weirded out when Hayes and I kiss because like that's his little brother. So I had a plan.

"Yeah you can drive me. Oh and Nash" I said he looked over

"I need a new picture for Instagram. And i want it to be of Hayes and I. Social has been a little depressing lately with all the RIP's for my sister when they found out, so I need something happy" I said

"What is it" they both said in unison.

I handed Nash my phone and explained to Hayes. I told Nash to stand in one spot and take pictures when It looks cute. There were a couple of nice ones. Like me looking at Hayes with our hands holding. But the one that Nash would hate was when I jumped up so I was straddling Hayes and he was carrying me. And we were kissing.

"Oh my god Bethany this doesn't look so cute" he said. I started laughing and so did Hayes.

I took my phone and Walked out of the room hand in hand with Hayes. He leading me. I took an opportunity to get a cute cliche picture there too. We went down I said by to the Griers and got into Hayes car.

"So before Nash interrupted us, thank you so fucking much Hayes. This trip is going to be amazing. I love you." I said

"I love you forever
I like you for always
And as long as I'm here
My baby you'll be"
Hayes said. We were shopping one day and I had a baby shower to go to, so we went into this store and it was so cute. Hayes found this book. It was adorable. I remember it like it was yesterday. And inside of it was that poem, but for like a mom. 'This will be the first book we read to our kids' I remember him saying. So now, he uses that quote for me :)

Before we knew it we were at my house

"So I'll pick you up at 8am on Friday okay? Our flights at 11" he said. We chatted for a little and he walked me into the house. We had an intense make out session. Really quick though, because my mom was home.

I walked up to my room after saying goodbye. I need to pack. I grabbed a giant suitcase I bought from PINK. It was grey, and in white lettering said 'PINK' I loved it.

I made a to-pack list. Because I would do that all tomorrow.

To Pack

Outfit for plane- Black crop top, flower pink flowy shorts
....

And the list went on and on. But I'll spare you the gory details. I decided I should go to bed. Because I have to fully pack tomorrow. I added onto my list 'Laptop, portable speaker, straightener, curler, ALL MAKEUP AND HAIR PRODUCTS, shaver, sunscreen, earphones' those are the things I always forget on every trip and i need them when I'm there

I jumped into bed and sent a quick text to Hayes

Hey boo. Thank you so much for this trip. I will pay you back I promise, maybe not with money though hehe😏 FaceTime me in the morning and tell me what dresses you want me to bring. Or come over after your game. love you so much. Never forget that💞😘❤️

I sent the text and hopped into bed. I put on a playlist, knowing once it's over it stops anyways. I fell asleep to 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran
