Chapter 35

"You good" Matt asked me as we hopped into our uber in LA. We just landed. I'm so pumped. LA is beautiful. I really love it here.

Leaving my mom and dad was hard, but I know that this is best for my career and they know that too. I nodded to Matt and smiled at him.

Do I regret that kiss? No. I don't. I don't want to say that Matt is my rebound, but I still really like him. And I still love Hayes. But I think it might take a while for Hayes and I to be good friends again. Let alone date. I decided I was going to stay at matts place for a while.

I called my school right before Matt and I left. I'm getting a tutor for out here. So I don't have to do the other school work. It's better I think. It's not like a tutor because I'm not smart, it's just because it's hard doing the online schooling when I'm out here.

"Can I ask you something" I asked him. He smiled and looked into my eyes. God his are so beautiful.

"Anything" he replied

"Do you regret the kiss"

He looked down at his feet and then looked back up at me

"Not at all" he smiled hugging me.

I really like Matt. He's an amazing person.

"So tomorrow I'm going to meet up with the Jacks, and my tutor. Just so you know I'll be out of the house" I told him. Tomorrow I'm going to the recording studio with the jacks to start recording our song. It's going to be called 'how it goes' Johnson will do his rapping part. And then G and I have the second course together, and I get a solo. So I'm pumped for that. And I get to meet my tutor and just do some basic stuff.

"Awesome. Do you need a ride?"

"You have a car?" I asked him excitedly

"No. But you do" he smiled. He showed me a picture on his phone. It's beautiful. It's a white ranger over. It has a really nice sunroof. It's awesome.

"Who?" I started but Matt cut me off

"Your mom and dad put most of it in. But I helped with the cost along with the boys. It's a birthday present from all of us" he smiled. I gave him a big hug and thanked him. I texted my parents and thanked them for it. Then I texted the group chat with all the boys and Mahogany and Shae.

B: hey guys❤️ thank you so so so much for my birthday present. It's awesome. Love you all☺️ thanks for the constant support. You guys are the best😚💘

I sent and immediately matts phone went off. And of course. I instantly got replys. Which reminds me. I haven't responded to Hayes' message. Well he needs to learn he can't get me back that fast.

N- of course Beth! You deserve all the happiness in the world💜

Johnson- I'm taking it for a spin tmrw just an FYI

Beth- haha no Johnson you'll break it

Johnson- we will see

Hayes- hope you're doing better Beth.

Well that's pretty blunt.

"Have you talked to him" Matt frowned looking at his text messages.

"No" I replied looking down not wanting to talk about it

"We don't have to talk about that. I was just wondering" he smiled holding my hand.

"You two are so cute" the driver said. I dropped my jaw in shock and Matt did the same.

"Oh" he said focusing back on the road. Matt and I sat there in silence. Matt took his hand back and  scratched the back of his head. I smiled at him.

The rest of the ride was silent. But it wasn't that long. We got to matts place and my car was sitting there. It looked amazing. But I got these really bad cramps. So I decided to go to my room and just chill for a little.

I laid on my bed in silence. I sat there in pain. Looking at my phone. I was scrolling through Twitter. I was in my mentions and there were so many hate comments. Which honestly sucks so much. Because I do not wanna deal with this now too.

I tweeted. I didn't think it was very nice for people to be saying that stuff. I got a text message from my aunt

From: Auntie Bren

Hey Beth. I heard that there is some troubles with Hayes. I need to know if he's coming on the cruise. If not, you can bring someone else. Because there is no refunds.

I totally forgot about that. Which is crazy considering I planned the whole thing. I read her text again 'troubles with Hayes'
I let a tear roll down my cheek. I stood up, in a lot of pain and walked to the lobby area of matts flat.

"Hey there" he grinned. I sat on his couch and winced in pain.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Period cramps. You wouldn't understand" I said to him. He sat down next to me and smiled.

"The boys are coming over. Not everyone. Just Sammy, cam, Aaron and Johnson. Is that okay"

"oh my god Matt. You shouldn't even ask. This is your house. Not mine" I said to him.

"Fuck" I winced. Cramps get me like this. Not all the time. But a lot of times they do.

"Are you okay! Maybe we should take you to a doctor. I don't know what to do" Matt rambled

"Matt chill. This happens a lot. Do you got any advil?" He nodded and grabbed some. He handed it to me with a glass of water. I smiled at him and took them.

Matthew Espinosa could be my next boyfriend. What have I gotten myself into.
