She seemed surprised to see me here as well. I mean, I'd be surprised to see a guy's ex-girlfriend opening the front door for me whilst wearing barely anything, too.
"Hi! Jayda, right?" She said, smiling politely.
"Hi!" I replied, still surprised to see her. There was an awkward silence. "Oh - did you want to come in?"
"Oh, uh, yeah. Thanks!" She beamed as she walked in.
"Is Dimitri here?" She asked, looking a bit shy.
"Yeah. I'll go get him for you." It looked like she wanted to ask something - probably what I was doing here, but she didn't say anything, so I turned around and went to Dimitri's room.
I opened the door and walked in. "Hey, that girl Kenna's here to see you-"
Dimitri was standing there, shirtless with a towel hanging loosely at his hips. I froze, just staring at him and his perfectly sculpted abs. Why would i just barge in like that? The lines between when we were together and now were blurring for some reason.
"Wow, you look hot."
"Thanks." He chuckled. Did I say that out loud?
"I didn't mean to say that!" I started to explain, but I lost focus of what I was saying when my eyes travelled back to his abs and pecs. "But, you do look hot." I slowly walked towards him. There was some sort of magnetic force pulling me towards him, compelling me to get closer.
I placed a kiss on his lips when I reached him, putting a hand on his chest and feeling his pecs. I knew he worked out a bit, but damn! He wasn't overly muscular, but he was toned and sculpted as heck. He had been toned when we were dating before, but now, he looked way more built.
I moved my hand lower, feeling his abs. He cupped my face with his hands and pulled me closer, tracing my tongue with his.
Oh, right - Kenna! She was still waiting for him downstairs. I pulled away slowly.
"That girl Kenna's here. She's waiting for you in the living room."
His brows furrowed slightly. I guess he was surprised that she was here as well.
"Come down quick, she's waiting." I gave him a peck on the lips before leaving the room, leaving him wanting more. It seemed like I was a natural at getting back an ex!
It was like we'd both forgotten about what happened earlier. It's not like it had been a big deal - it was just a little hiccup. But it wasn't awkward and uncomfortable like I'd expected. Ever since we'd begun hanging out again, we'd adopted this friends-with-benefits dynamic. I wasn't complaining, though.
"So, what are you doing here?" I asked as I approached Kenna.
"Oh, Dimitri said he'd study with me today so I could catch up since I just joined the school."
Why did he agree to hang out with me at his house if she was coming over?
"What about you?" She asked. "I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just curious."
Was she implying that I was being rude by asking her? She was subtle, but it didn't elude me.
"We're just hanging out."
She nodded and the silence returned.
She seemed like a nice girl. Really nice, actually. Really pretty, too. It made me curious how she and Dimitri knew each other. They had to have met before she joined our school - she seemed too close to him to have just met him.
Then, Dimitri walked in, wearing grey sweatpants and a loose white t-shirt. He really did look good in anything.
"Dimitri, hi!" She walked towards him, grinning from ear to ear. She'd probably break her jaw if she was smiling any harder.
