Clouds part like ocean waves for Moses,

And from within, a new born sun glows,

Its rays are adored by tilted leafs and waking birds,

However, my interest lays elsewhere,

In how they're reflected by the ocean waves in her irises,

Although they've sunken quite a few wrecks,

And are home to lethal, ghost-like creatures,

From afar they're steady - like a life line,

And their euphony it can lull me to sleep,

Even when the monsters wake and the land falls apart,

As her stare, it holds stories that align with my nightmares,

I'm left in awe as I stare into the eyes of my future self,

And wonder just how many nights will those waves,

Have crashed with no relent,

For the calm only comes,

Once the storm a memory becomes.
