Words form the base of the pyramid that is communication,

the rest of layers and bricks that form it,

they're different,

they emphasize desperation,

with the fall of the corner of an eye,

and strip naked a lie,

with a smile and its formation,

so when you spit a sentence,

or curve the ends of your mouth,

they tell you to stop and breathe,

for you're speaking through your teeth,

and that,

that is wrong,

what you say is not laced with anger,

it's powered by it,

it points and throws daggers,

there's no regret in it,

you speak them through your teeth,

because you didn't say them in your head,

you speak them through your teeth,

because it's wrong to wish someone dead,

you speak them through your teeth,

because a part of you is aware,

and just aches to be free,

just as everybody else is,

those starving words you finally say,

they'd normally fade half way,

and blend into well-known silence,

and become one with insignificance,

they're like a break through,

like saying 'I hate you' to your dad,

like 'I wish you weren't who you are',

like 'you hurt me and won't hold yourself accountable',

like muttering through clenched teeth 'I love you'.
