It's now Saturday morning. I had exactly an hour to get my clothes on and freshen up.
I hear a vibration and turn to see my cellphone ringing. Who would call me at 7:00 in the morning?
Oh that's right... Dylan.
After the encounter I had with him two nights ago I haven't talked to him since.
I really didn't know what had gotten into him. I guess I'll find out now.
"Hey," I say, half asleep, right after pressing the green answer button.
"Hey Audie," he says and I can hear his smile which makes me break into my own as well.
Fun fact and something I should've mentioned earlier: when we were about 3 years old and just learning how to talk, Dylan didn't know how to pronounce his R's so he would call me Audie.
He still does just for fun.
He's never called me by my actual first name. At least not until two nights ago.
"Hey I'm sorry about the other night. I was being a real jerk," he says and I stifle a laugh.
"It's fine," I respond. I didn't know whether or not to ask him what was wrong over the phone. I'll wait till later to ask him.
"So I'll be at the airport at 8:10," Dylan says.
"Huh? Wait why?" I ask.
"Your mom is leaving today...." he says.
"Oh! Oh my derek hale I completely forgot. I'll see you there," I say completely baffled.
I look at the clock that read 7:10
"I have to go now see you at the airport!" I say excitedly.
"Okay bye," he says. After that I turn to pick an outfit out from my drawer.
After about 8 minutes of choosing what to wear I finally decide on a jeans and a panic! At the disco T-shirt that I got last year at their concert.
I'm not really into fashion as you probably can tell by now.
Band t shirts are my best friends.
"Come on Audrey! We're going to be late!" My dad yells from downstairs.
"Coming!" I grab my phone and bag then head downstairs.
Half an hour later, we were pulling up into the airport.
"Hello Jenny! Hello Steven! Thank you for having Audrey over for dinner last night," my mom says to Dylan's parents as we got out of the car.
Dylan and I help take out her heavy luggage.
"You kids don't have to worry about these. The adults can handle this," Mr. Rider says referring to the suitcases my mom was bringing.
My phone vibrates and I see a text message from Faith who couldn't be here because she was visiting her dad in Florida.
"Tell your mom congratulations and have a nice trip," I nod.
"Um Audrey? You there?" Faith asks and I mentally curse at myself.
"Yeah sorry. I nodded which was stupid of me because you can't see me and I'm blabbering again sorry. I'll talk to you later," I say quickly and hang up. I'm so awkward. Even around people I've known for so long.
My mom likes Faith very much after all of the times she had helped me face the bullying and teasing I'd receive on a daily basis.
I told my mom what Faith had said and she smiles a big and warm smile.
