I packed up my bags from Louis's house and headed on home in a cab. I was imagining how dusty and filthy the flat would be since no one had been there in weeks. I unlocked the door and much to my surprise, it wasn't dirty. Of course there were slight dust specks, but that was expected. It was actually a bit too clean. No one had been here in about four weeks.

I just let the thought go and went off into the kitchen to get a snack. I went to the fridge to see nothing, but a carton of orange juice with a note attached to the side. I read the note:

You really should buy more food. I'll get some for you because I'm starved. You better be here when I get back. -Lucas

Lucas? How did he find out where I lived and why had he broken in? How had he broken in? Remembering the old days, he used to pick locks, so he probably picked my front door. But how did he find me? I dropped the juice on the floor. I backed away slowly.

I grabbed my bag and ran into my room. There was another note on the closet door:

Anna, your clothes are a little too innocent. I reckon getting some more low-cut tops, alright? I also unpacked all my things! I moved in with you. -Lucas

I felt like I was going to vomit. The fact that he had been here and went through my things. I opened the closet door and threw the remainder of my clothes in the bag. I grabbed some personal items like pictures and threw that in my other bag.

While running down the hallway before I reached the door, I noticed another note on the bathroom door. I decided to read it.

Clean the fucking bathroom. It's disgusting in there. If you don't, you'll regret it. -Lucas

I slightly soiled myself. He's already done me harm. I don't think I could take it anymore. I headed for the front door with all my belongings. If I could get into the hallway of my building, I'd be fine. I could always use the emergency exit to leave. I reached for the doorknob, but it started to shake. I wasn't moving it. Someone was coming in.

I grabbed my bags and took cover behind my couch. I heard big, heavy footsteps walking in the room. I peaked up from behind the couch and saw his face. I saw his feet walk into the kitchen. He left the front door open, so all I'd have to do is run.

"You were here!" His deep voice yelled. I did all I could to hold back the shrieks and screams of fear that were building up inside me.

My phone started buzzing quietly. It could still be heard, though. I panicked. I looked at the caller I.D. and it was Niall, but I couldn't talk. I hit decline.

Lucas stomped around the kitchen before coming out. If he came into the living room, I'd be screwed. I heard him coming closer to my location. I practically held my breath. He was so unbelievably close that one step closer would cause him to see me. I closed my eyes and started praying that he'd walk another direction.

I heard his steps walk further away from me. It sounded like he was going towards my room. I let out my breath in relief. I heard him slam a door shut, I'm guessing the one to my room.

I grabbed my bags and darted for the door. I cringed during every step because it was quite loud. Damn these hard-wood floors. I almost tripped over my feet, but I fortunately didn't. I heard the door to my room slam open, but I was lucky enough to be in front of the emergency exit. I ran down those stairs as if I were lightening. Before I knew it, I was out in the street. I looked behind me and up towards the window to my flat. I saw his face looking down towards me, making complete eye-contact. Lucas had a devilish smirk spread across his face. Then, he ran away from the window.

He was coming downstairs for me. I tried getting a cab, but not one of them stopped for me. Finally one did stop and I quickly hopped in the back. I quickly gave the driver Louis's address. He drove me away and just in time. Lucas was outside looking around for me. As soon as he was out of sight from the window, I established that it was okay to breathe.
