Delilah Lavigne
I sit in this cold metal chair in a cold concrete room across from five people I never thought I'd cross paths with again.
I don't plan on telling them everything because we will be here for quite some time. But, I know that we will never get anywhere if I don't start answering their questions—shit I have some myself.
I'm not ecstatic to give them a play by play of my life these past few months, I haven't seen these people in almost a year. A lot has happened in that time frame—to myself and I'm sure to them.
We are strangers again.
"Where should I start?" I sit up straight in my chair, staring into Harry's emerald green eyes—ones I haven't stared into for what feels like a century.
I don't feel calm this time while looking at them like I remember I used to.
I feel hate.
Harry stands straight, joining his friends near the wall across from me, "The very first day that you decided to leave. How you got in contact with Enzo—everything leading up to that night."
I don't know why he's asking this as if he has no clue what happened. Luca and Enzo made it very clear they were all behind it, including Harry. But instead of fighting it I decide to just answer the question because technically he is referring to me deciding to leave and not me getting kidnapped by Enzo, "I planned to leave to keep everyone safe, everywhere I turned it felt like someone was always getting hurt—myself included. Sure, it may have been a little selfish but I was a scared little girl blinded by love. Once I could finally see again, I realized that me leaving could have kept all of you a bit safer. So I contacted Enzo to help me plan an escape so to say. I knew he hated his father, Luca—which at the time I didn't know was a lie— so I knew he'd help."
"But why would he want to help you? Knowing what we know about Luca being his father, why wouldn't he just immediately tell Luca what you were conspiring?" Harry questions, his eyebrows furrowed so hard that there's a line in between them.
The second he asks that, I now know he's definitely playing stupid and it pisses me off. "Seriously?"
"What?" He responds.
"Okay, enough with this shit. You all know what happened so I don't even know why I'm having to reiterate it all for you." I'm tired of the games. I'm sat here obliging to their request of answering whatever questions they have and they just keep putting on a facade with having no clue about what actually happened, acting oblivious.
"We have been in the dark about what happened with you and why you left for months. All we had to go off of was our imaginations and connecting different dots and leads on our own." Zayn's thick accent fills my ears.
"We didn't even find out that you were working with Luca until a week ago. I figured it out in the letter you left me, then Zayn traced your phone call that you made to Harry and it brought us here." Niall speaks up.
I sigh, "I knew that letter would come back to bite me in the ass." His eyebrows furrow as I continue, "I wrote that to you right after I found everything out, after I found out the truth. I knew if I sent that letter to you that you'd be the one person to crack the code I was trying to send, because at the end of the day I never wanted to join Enzo and Luca. But after a while, the more I settled into my life the more I didn't really worry about it anymore. I figured you guys wouldn't be able to find me without Luca somehow getting involved—which I was wrong." I refer to the situation I am put it now.
