7. Decisions

It had been over an hour since Dino rushed passed Hayes, leaving him standing outside her house alone. And that whole time, hayes has been continuously knocking on her door, this boy was not giving up any time soon.

"Go away Hayes, I don't want to speak to you" she shouted from her window, which was on the front of the house so she could see him clearly.

"Please, just for 5 minutes" he pleaded.

Dino huffed before stamping down the stairs and swinging the door open with anger. Hayes instantly pushed himself into her house, not even waiting for her to invite him in. Once she shut the door he roughly grabbed her hand and dragged her into the kitchen, she could tell there was going to be a mark. He guided her to one of the kitchen stools and she sat down, he stayed standing up looking over her.

The awkward silence was broken by Dino, " well stop fucking staring at me and talk" she muttered, causing hayes to break out of his trance.

"Look, of course I don't care if people found out I was hanging out with you. I don't know why I said it, it was stupid of me. I didn't realise it would hurt your feelings so much, I'm sorry" he finally spat out. He took the seat that was next to Dino and faced her, waiting for her reply.

"No one ever realises that it'll hurt me, no one ever fucking cares. No one notices me, no one knows I exist. And considering you were one of the only people to notice me, I thought you'd be different, but you just used me to find more about me, probably so you can tell everyone about my amazing life. " shocked at herself, Dino covered her mouth with her hands. How could she just let her feelings spill out infront of this random boy?

" I noticed you for a reason, because you interest me. And not in a bad way. I just want to find out why this beautiful girl would do anything possible to stay unnoticed and unsociable. I never knew something like that was humanly possible, you're too amazing to stay unknown, so I want to know you." Dino could feel hayes' soft breath on her face as he talked, and it wasn't the worst feeling.

She looked up at him with hope, maybe he wasn't the bad guy after all.

"Hayes I- I can't do that to you, as soon as you're known for being my friend everyone will shun you, you'll be like me and I don't want that" hayes sighed at how stubborn Dino was being. He grabbed her hand and started playing with it.

" I don't care, I can already tell that you're amazing, and if people are so stupid that they'd stop talking to me because I made a great new friend it's their loss. " A giant smile grew on both of their faces... Dino was actually going to have a friend.

Weeks past and hayes and Dino's friendship grew, it was truly beautiful. Unfortunately, Dino's predictions were partly correct. Only a few people stopped talking to hayes though, but still no one took notice of Dino she was just known as " that girl hayes hangs with"

"Hey you, Hayes' friend wait up" an unfamiliar voice called through the school hallways. The dismissal bell had already gone but Dino promised Hayes she would wait for him after school. He had to talk to the coach for a while so she decided to just walk outside and wait out there.

She turned around and saw one of the guys from hayes' football team running towards her. She stood there and awkwardly waited for him to get to her.

"Hey" she said in a hushed tone, worried people may see them together and him not wanting that. { wtaf that sentence made no sense but just go w it guys }

"Hey, I'm having a small get together on Saturday, the whole football team and a few others will be there, I was wondering if you wanted to come? I'm sure hayes is going so you can go with him. It'll be fun and you can make some new friends, so? What do you say?" He grinned, I thought for a whilst. I mean, this could help me produce a friendship group that is larger than only me and hayes right? But it could also be a trap, you know. A ' let's invite the weird girl just so we can take the piss out of her the whole time but she'll never know ' kind of get together.

I guess I'll just ask hayes about it later.....

You never know, it could be really good.

"Um, I'll think about it" I said and a sigh of relief left his mouth.

"Great! Hopefully I'll see you around-" he stopped as he didn't know my name, I guess he was waiting for me to say it.

"Oh um , it's Dino" I smiled softly.

"Right of course, hopefully I'll see you around Dino. I'm Mike by the way" He let out a massive grin before running back down the hall, we both took our separate ways.
