"Bye Krissy" I smiled as I planted a small kiss on her cheek, walking out of the front door only moments later. The wind whipping around me made me pull my jumper closer in attempt to block it.

I walked into the school building, heading to my locker and not paying any attention to anyone.

"Yo Dino, good dancing!" One of the boys from the grade above me called out, all of his Jock friends laughing along with him as they walked past me.

I raised my eyebrows and took in a sharp breath as I stared blankly inside of my locker, holding back the anger that has been building up for years towards them. I grabbed the book that I needed and slammed my locker shut, revealing a very happy looking Hayes standing to the side of me.

"Hey, you." He smiled, poking my arm slightly. I gave him a small smile that didn't meet my eyes before walking towards my class, that he happened to also be in. "What's wrong?" He seemed genuinely concerned, a little crease even formed in his forehead.

"I can just feel everyone staring at me like I'm a walking prostitute, which by the way I am not. Surely everyone knows that I don't normally get drunk and grind on random people?" I stopped walking and looked over at the blue eyed boy who was towering over me.

"Of course they know that, they're just stupid that's all." He sighed before grabbing my hand and pulling me into the direction of the class. I slowly removed my hand from his grasp which earned a slightly confused look from Hayes but he quickly shrugged it off.

After school was over Hayes asked me to go get froyo with him, which I obviously couldn't turn down. Like, surely it's illegal to decline frozen yogurt? If it isn't it should be.

I sat down at the table whilst Hayes went and got the froyo, I gave him the money for mine of course. Once Hayes joined me back at the table a group of six teenagers walked in and sat at the booth next to us. I saw a few of them looking over warily but I ignored it. "Hey, Dino. Those guys are kinda staring at you." Hayes tried to whisper but instead said it in a normal talking voice, which probably mean they heard him. I mouthed 'I know' to him and changed the subject soon after.

A petite girl came up to out table, looking at me, and saying a small "excuse me." before clearing her throat and carrying on talking. "I saw your video on youtube -I mean most people have- and was wondering if you'd teach me how to dance like that. I want to be able to show my boyfriend that I can dance, in private obviously. I'm not a little hoe I wouldn't dance like that at a party or anything. Oh, wait. Sorry didn't mean to offend." She winked, laughs could be heard from the booth containing the teenagers.

"You're very funny. Did you by any chance get your sense of humour from walmart like you did your outfit?" Hayes scoffed. I shot him a warning glare, hoping he doesn't carry this on as I was not the type to argue.

"I'm sorry, no need to be rude. I was only asking your slutty little girlfriend how she danced like that, you seemed to enjoy it." The smirk on her face made it all that harder to keep calm and hold back, not saying anything.

Hayes quickly stood up, making his chair screech along the floor, and walked so he was only inches away from the girl.

"Do not talk about her like that." His voice was deep and threatening, if I was her I would be petrified but she just seemed amused. Her bleach blonde hair (that she had clearly brought and not grown) was flipped over her shoulder as she laughed in Hayes' face and took a step closer.

"Oh, baby boy. You're too good for her. Why is someone as hot as you hanging out with a low life like her?" She looked over at me in disgust before looking at Hayes with eyes full of lust. "I mean, come on. You could have someone like me but you choose her, why?"

I couldn't bare to hear Hayes' answer or stand there and watch him think of an answer that wouldn't hurt my feelings so I quickly stood up and dragged him straight out of the shop, whispering a small 'it's not worth it' into his ear.

Once we were outside and out of view he let out a loud grown and punched the closest wall in frustration. "People can't talk about you like that Dino! You can't just sit there and let them talk like that!"

"Hayes, it's so much better than getting angry and starting a fight. I don't care so you shouldn't, calm down." He stepped away from the wall and towards me, staring into my eyes.

"I care because I care about you, Dino. So damn much." As soon as those words left his mouth, he connected his lips with my own and moved them in motion.

I stumped backwards and pushed him away. "No. Hayes no." I shook my head rapidly before running off towards the direction of my house, leaving the boy standing there all by himself.
