6. Left alone

The next few days were very awkward for dino and Hayes, they barley even made eye contact. He attempted to talk to her, but she was on a mission to avoid him untill she was forced to talk to him. This made Hayes contemplate his actions, just as he started talking to the girl he'd admired for the past couple of months he ruined it by fucking up as usual.

He sat there in class, admiring her from afar, this seemed to be part of his daily routine. He took in all of her details, from the large freckle just below the right corner of her lip to the way she always had to chew gum in class, other wise she refused to concentrate.

"Hayes" he was snapped out of his staring by the teacher calling his name. His cheeks grew red as he realised he had called him more than once and the whole class could now tell that he had been staring at the beautiful being infront of him.

"Answer my question then" the teacher snapped at him, hayes shrunk in his chair and buried his head as he had just been called out for not listening. "The answers 92" Dino whispered to him, she had turned around with the rest of the class he guessed.

"Um, 92?" Hayes basically questioned, the whole class burst out laughing except for hayes, he sat there baffled. He looked at Dino who was laughing harder than anyone, she had purposely told him the wrong answer so this would happen.

"Hayes grier, this is history, not math. I suggest you pay more attention. You've been sitting there for 50 minutes not listening to a word I said or writing anything down, you're lucky I don't give you an hour detention for being disobidient." The words went in one ear and out the other, hayes was too busy concentrating on Dino .

His friend Nick leant over and whispered so only hayes could hear " dude, we get it you like her. Now stop staring it's creeping everyone out" as soon as that was said hayes came back to reality. He whispered a little "sorry" before looking down at his book, which had no new markings in it due to him not doing any work.

The last 5 minutes went by and hayes packed his things up and was out of the door quicker than you can say "dinosour". He ran out of the school gates and all the way to Dino's house, he wanted to beat her there so he could surprise her, he didn't know how but he would find something.

After about half an hour if waiting he saw Dino's small silhouette walking down the road. He waited and watched as the figure grew larger and larger, soon she was face to face with him.

"You're blocking my path" she basically whispered, he could just about hear what she was saying. Her body started to tense, her nerves quickly rising. She never knew anyone would have this much of an affect on her. "Please move" she said a little louder, just incase he didn't hear her before.

"We need to talk" he said in a steady tone. Clearly trying to make sure she knows he is the alpha in this situation. She refused to make eye contact so instead looked at the window of her house, trying to see if Krissy was in and would help her, of course she wasn't. She cleared her throat before starting to speak. " nope, we don't need to. But if you want talk, then the answer will still be no" she said with a slight smirk.

The adrenalin rushed through her blood and she built enough courage to push straight past him and to her front door. She soon unlocked the door and ran inside, leaving hayes standing there all alone.
