Chapter 3. Invitation

I entered the science classroom and smiled back at Zayn while sitting next to him. Mister Goberts, our science teacher, entered the room.

Mr Goberts started talking in his boring low tone voice 'Alright class, I expect that you've all made your homework assignment. And I would like to talk about question 7, about the states of water and the differe-'

I blocked out the rest of his speech and started drawing mindlessly in my book. When I looked to the right I saw Zayn drawing in his book as well, but his drawing was actually pretty good. He was drawing people in a comic like style, he's actually pretty good at drawing.
When I looked up I realise Zayn had caught me staring, I just smile and whisper 'you're good at drawing'

He smiled and continued drawing, oh wait.. He's drawing me....
He was just busy drawing the hair when suddenly Mr Goberts clapped his hands together instantly gaining everybody's attention.

'Now, you can all get started on the project. Work in groups of 2 with the person next to you, Timmy, Jane and Austin will form a group of 3 considering the class is in an uneven number. You can collect your microscope here and the bacteria samples are over there, I expect you all to hand in the assignment next week. No No Timmy don't eat the bacteria! Timmy!' Mr Goberts rushed to get Timmy away from the samples.

'Cool, we're partners then' Zayn said

'Yup' I agreed, this is great, I get to work with Zayn!
We collected the things we needed for the assignment (a microscope, the samples and a worksheet) and filled in some basic questions before looking at the bacteria through the microscope. By the end of the class we were almost done answering all the questions.
I was just about to follow the rest of my classmates out of the classroom when I felt a hand on my arm, it was Zayn.

'Wait, I wanted to ask you something ' Zayn said

'Oh, sure' I said, what did he want to ask me? And why couldn't he just tell me during class?

'You know Niall right? Well his Birthday is this Saturday and we're having a party at our house to celebrate and I was wondering if you would like to come. But you don't have to if you don't feel like it'

He's inviting me to a party! 'Yes Zayn I would love to co-' I couldn't finish my sentence before I got interrupted by Bella,

'OH MY GAWD A PARTY!! I would loooove to come Zayn!' Bella practically screamed

'Umm sure you can come if you'd like to' Zayn said

'GREAT! I'll see you there' Bella responded, she looked at him while biting her lip for a few seconds before leaving

Weird

'So you would like to come?' Zayn continued

I nod

'Cool, I'm looking forward to it. I'll text you the details later. Oh and you can take a few friends if you want, Niall asked If you could ask for Nickela in particular.' Zayn said while smiling

We quickly switched phone numbers and said our goodbyes.

I met up with Nickela, Lizzie and Emma in the cafeteria so we could ride home together

When we were all on our bikes I told them about Niall's party, Zayn inviting me and that I was allowed to take friends.

'So do you guys want to come? And Nickela you have to come because apparently Niall asked for you specifically to come!' I told them

'He asked for me?!' Nickela said with a surprised expression

'I love parties ' Emma said excitedly

'Did you say it's this Saturday? Because I already have plans, I have to play in the orchestra..' Lizzie said

'Come on Lizz, isn't seeing Luke more important than playing a flute?' Nickela tried to tempt her.

'I DON'T LIKE HIM!!' Lizzie said, sure you don't Lizz.

'Whatever you say Lizz, I guess it's just us three then?' Emma asked

'Yup, we'll meet in front of the bakery on Saturday and ride to their house together' I told them.

'You have their adress!!' Nickela exclaimed.

'It's stalking timeeeee' Emma sang

Then we said goodbye to Nickela who had to take a different turn to get home.

'Speaking of stalking' I began 'when Zayn told me about the party Bella appeared out of no where and basically invited herself to the party, so she's coming too'

'Ughhh... it's the Rainbow Run all over again' Lizz said miserably.
We laughed at the memory

'She's such a fake model' I said in a fake valley girl accent.

'She definitely bought all her instagram followers!' Emma finished in the same accent

I said goodbye to Lizzie and Emma as they went straight ahead when I turned left.

I can't wait till Saturday.
