Chapter 5. Up All Night

-Saturday-

I'm basically counting the seconds till I have to leave for the party. I'm trying to get some schoolwork done but I can't help but look to the clock every five minutes. I'm 30 minutes early for the time I'm supposed to leave but I decided I could use the time to get ready.

I walked down the stairs and grabbed my coat and shoes and then plopped down on the couch across from the chair my mother was sitting on.

'You're a little early' My mother told me

'I know but I'm just way too excited to do something else' I said while tying the laces on my shoes.

My mother chuckled 'All for that Zayn guy, huh? Is he your boyfriend yet?' My mother asked me

'No of course not!' I replied

'But you like him don't you?' She asked

'How do you know I like him!?!' I asked, is she some kind of spy or something?

'I have connections' she answered vaguely. Ok she's definitely not a spy! She's probably part of the mafia! 'So why don't you just tell him you like him?' She continued.

'Well obviously I'm not sure if he likes me back.' I said. Life isn't a movie, things don't always have a happy fairytale ending. I grabbed my coat and put it on.

'Of course he likes you' my mum said like it was obvious.

'Sure he does... well I'm off to the party!' I said while getting of the couch

'Have fun!' My mother said. I gave her a kiss on her cheek and left the house, I quickly got my bike out of the shed and raced to the bakery where me, Nickela and Emma agreed to meet. I could already see Nickela waiting and stopped my bike next to her. We greeted each other and chatted until Emma appeared and then we took off.

'You know the way to their house right?' Emma asked me.

'I've looked it up on Google maps and then the site made us a route' I told them.

'Cool!' Emma responded

'By the way...' Nickela started 'I was texting Niall last night' she confessed

'You have his number!' Emma exclaimed
'What did you guys talk about?' I asked Nickela

'Well he was being super cute and we were just talking about how we're looking forward to tomorrow and he said he was so happy I could come' Nickela told us happily

'Awwwww' Me and Emma cooed

'I honestly think Niall likes you back!' I told her

'I agree! He's definitely into you' Emma agreed

'I hope so' Nickela said, I could see her smile and slowly become red in the corner of my eye.

'That being said, I think it's pretty obvious that Zayn likes you Tanisha' Emma said

I smiled at her, 'You think so?' I asked

Emma nodded in response

'How's it going with you and Louis?' Nickela asked Emma

'Well, I sit next to him during Math class, and you guys know how much I usually hate math,' me and Nickela nodded 'But because of him it might actually have become one of my favourite lessons! We basically just chat through the whole class and we laugh and joke around. It's so much fun and Louis is absolutely hilarious!' Emma told us excitedly

'That's great!' Nickela said

We talked for another 30 minutes until Google maps told us to go straight on and ride into a forest. We hesitated a little but decided to just go with it. Thankfully there was a bike path for us to ride on next to a muddy road, but I still had an uneasy feeling about riding through a dark creepy forest at night. The conversation about the MTV'S series Are You The One led to a debate of which people in the house were most likely a couple and I was distracted enough to stop thinking about the creepy forest that may lead to our death.

After another 15 minutes of riding through the forest Nickela spoke up 'Are you sure we're not lost?'

'No we're going towards the adres Zayn gave to me.' I said, but I was starting to doubt if we were going the right way myself.

'Maybe Google maps made a mistake?' Emma suggested

'Let's just keep riding according to my phone we're almost there' I responded

After another 10 minutes we stil hadn't seen any signs of a house being nearby.

'Maybe they just pranked us by giving you a fake address' Nickela suddenly said.
Zayn would never do something like that! Would he? I thought of his smile and how happy he seemed when I told him I was coming to his party, was it all a joke?

'They would never do that.' Emma said without a second of doubt.

'You're right' I said while nodding.

Nickela nodded slightly but still looked unsure.

We kept riding in silence. I kept looking around in the hopes of seeing something that would tell me there are actually people living here. But all I could see where scratches on trees, are we going to get eaten alive by wolves! That's not the kind of party I signed up for! I stopped looking through the woods after a while because thinking about what could be out there only made me scared.
When suddenly...

'Look! there's light coming from over there!' Nickela exclaimed excitedly while pointing at a bright light in the distance.

We starting pedalling faster on our bikes towards the light, and as we got closer I heard something. 'I can already hear the music!' I said while smiling, they didn't lie, they didn't prank us. There actually is a party!

'This party better be worth all the physical activity!' Emma complained

'I know right ' I giggled, starting to get nervous.

We took a left turn and that was the first time we could actually see the house, or should I say mansion! We stopped our bikes to get a beter look at the house. It was 3 stories high and almost every wall was filled by window. The windows let the colorful lights that came from inside the house through causing the forest to light up in color. But this huge mansion can't belong to Zayn and his friends, it just can't possibly be their house!

'This isn't their house, they probably gave us a random adress of a party..' I said sadly

'No' Emma disagreed while shaking her head 'look!' She pointed at a window, through the window we could see a banner saying

《Happy 17th birthday Niall》

I felt a smile grow on my face, we're at the right place.

'What are we waiting for! Let's go inside!' Nickela exclaimed starting to walk towards the house. Me and Emma following behind her.

'Where do we put our bikes?' I wondered.

'I don't really like the idea of dumping it against a tree, this bike is kind of new' Nickela admitted.

'Me neither, don't they have like a shed or whatever?' Emma asked. We all looked around in search for a place to put our bikes.

'Looking for something?' An unknown voice suddenly said
