Taylor is screaming "my lungs! My lungs! I can't breathe! All because of that bit-" her words become faint right before her eyes roll to the back her head. Alice has both hands over her nose and mouth, fingers trembling, and eyes tearing up. She starts to run in the direction of the woods, I try to yell at her to stop but she doesn't. We all grab our supplies and weapons and head after her.
***
After chasing her for a while she finally stops when we reach the woods. "I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking I just was so mad and I-"
Madison cuts her off "cut the crap, did you really just kill our greatest asset over a damn sentence! I swear you better be worth it in the end!" She swowls. In the distance we all hear a low growl, everyone and literally everything stops in its tracks and listens. The sound grows louder and I eventually see a humongous white furred animal crawling slowly our way. "Okay everyone, don't move and don't panick it will think we aren't real and go away" I push away any other negative thoughts out of my mind and hang on the one that is not. The beast is very close now.
5 feet.
4 feet.
3 feet.
2 feet.
1 foot.
The creature is so incredibly close that it's breathing on my face two inches from my nose. And then that's when Alice picks up her dagger and lunges it toward the Beastly creature. The dagger is stuck deeply in the creatures neck, the creature whines and whips his entire body around to knock Alice off him. To help Alice I shoot my upgraded M16 at it and it's almost like the creature is invincible and can take what ever anything throws at it. The dagger that Alice is holding soon loses its grip in the beasts neck and slices down his back and sends Alice flying toward a tree, she hits the ground unconscious. The creature runs toward me, I pull out my dagger ready for it. It launches toward me, I roll to the side dodging its pounce. I swing back toward the beast and forward my dagger into its right eye. The beast winces in pain, that should hold him off for now. "Everyone run out as fast as you can away from the creature, Bronx carry Alice, but no matter what we have to stay a close range together!" And then we run.***
We finally make it out of the woods into the open prairie where the sunset travels to the other side of earth. In the distance we see the Gene Capitol that sits reconstructed from the damage one of there own soldiers caused just to kill me. We rest for a while. The sunset has fell and now the night is covered in moonlight. Everyone is asleep but I'm not, I'm thinking about my dream earlier today. I'm suprised Alice didn't ask about it the way she did before all this happened. I'm thinking deeply now, why did I have have dreams about the government, why does it feel like déjà vu. And my most questionable question of all is why did this have to happen to me and my family? Why? Why? Why?.
