AUTHOR'S POV

"Good morning", Izzie turned to see Beca getting ready. "Why are you always up so early? You need to relax a little, Mitchell", she chuckled as she reached over to her phone on the nightstand. "I am just a very responsible and efficient person", Beca shook her head and fixed up her hair. Once she was done, she turned back to see Izzie still on her phone. "Thanks for last night", she approached the bed while she put her watch on her wrist. "I should do the thanking, you practically killed me", Izzie smiled and placed her phone down before getting on her knees at the edge of the bed. "You know, maybe I can teach you a little something about being less efficient and productive", she smirked as she pulled Beca closer by the waist which made the brunette quirked an eyebrow. "I thought I killed you already?", Beca looked down at Izzie smirking as she grabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled it back lightly, making the girl let out a soft moan. Beca took a glance at her watch before looking back at Izzie. "You got ten minutes to come for me, do you understand?", Beca asked her. "I do", Izzie replied.

"Keep going, Beca! Fuck, just like that, baby!", Izzie called out after letting out groans and moans that echoed through the house. "It is nine in the morning, was last night not enough?", Aubrey rolled her eyes as she walked over to the dining table with her coffee. "Come on, let the girl live. You don't get to complain", Stacie smirked at her girlfriend. "What's that supposed to mean!", she shrieked and shot her body up, making Chloe laugh. "When have you ever said no to morning sex?!", Stacie laughed and walked to the fridge while Aubrey rolled her eyes. "I'm coming! God! I'm coming!", the moans get louder from Beca's room as Emily walked down the stairs with her eyebrows scrunched. "How are they still going at it? I couldn't even sleep well last night!", Emily complained. "It's your fault! You practically served Izzie on a plate to Beca and now we have to listen to this", Stacie shook her head. "In my defense, I was thinking like romantic dinners and flowers and movies not THIS!", Emily poured a glass of orange juice. "It's Beca we're talking about! Romantic is the last thing on her mind, Em", Stacie laughed. "She's a very sexually active person", Alice chuckled lightly and everyone was silent for a while. "Has she always been this.. active?", Chloe broke the silence and quirked an eyebrow. "Meh, I guess. Remember Delaney?", Stacie turned to Aubrey. "Oh, I loved her. She was sweet", Aubrey smiled. "Loud but- she was nice", she added. Before they could continue going through all of Beca's ex-hookups, they heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Don't mind me, my Uber's here", Izzie smiled as she walked to the door. "Thank you for last night", she smiled and turned to Beca when she opened the door. "And this morning", she whispered before giving Beca a wink. "Back to you", Beca smiled. "We should do this again sometimes", Izzie added. "I'll send you a text", the brunette said as she watched Izzie walk to the car. "You're watching me walk away, Mitchell", Izzie shouted which made Beca chuckle before closing the door. "There's no way your bed survived her. Did you put a microphone in your room or something? It is impossible for someone to be that loud.", Stacie said, earning a slap on the shoulder from Aubrey. "What can I say? I'm good at what I do", Beca shrugged as she walked towards the coffee maker. "Soooo?", Emily asked teasingly. "What?", Beca looked at her dumbfounded. "How was your date!", the tall brunette asked excitingly.

"I don't know if I would call it a date-", Beca explained.

"You picked her up, took her to dinner and then your bed. Sounds like a date, Mitchell", Stacie said. "It was fine", she shrugged. "That's it?!", Emily's eyes widened. "What? She's nice. I mean, I fucked her multiple times before so to be honest the only thing that's different is that we had a meal before", Beca explained. "Come on, what about sparks or fireworks or-", Aubrey asked. Chloe just stared at Beca the whole time, wishing she was not there but at the same time, she wanted to know too. "I don't know what you guys want me to say", Beca chuckled. "Like I said, it just feels like every other night but instead of a booty call, we just went to dinner first", she added. "Anyways, as much as I would love to goss and dish and whatever, I need to go now", Beca placed her mug on the sink. "You ready to go?", she turned to Chloe who just like everyone else, was confused. "Where are.. we going.. exactly?", Chloe chuckled lightly, still confused. "Oh! Cindy called me over to help with something at her house, I assumed she asked me 'cause you were going over", Beca explained. "She didn't say anything, but I mean- we have no plans so sure", Chloe said.

"Does she- does she do this often? Like ask you to help and go over to your place?", Chloe asked as she got into the passenger seat while Alice got in the back. "Uh- from time to time, she'll drop by. I think since Chris got busy, she started calling me to come help with stuff", Beca explained as she starts driving. "I'm sorry if she's been bugging-", Chloe shook her head. "What? Don't be. It's nice that she thinks of me and really, I don't mind helping", Beca smiled. "So, Beca. What do you do, actually?", Alice interrupted them. "Uh- the music store. I co-own it. Other than that, I am just- existing", Beca smiled awkwardly at the rear mirror. "So, tell me what was it like to have Chloe as your teacher? That must've been quite funny", Alice laughed as she leaned back. Chloe rolled her eyes before looking at Beca. "She was..", Beca took a quick glance at Chloe, "She was nice. Sometimes a bit of a pain in the ass but-", she said. "Hey! I was not a pain in the ass, you were just a trouble-maker", Chloe nudged Beca's arms which made her laugh. "I was your favourite student though", Beca smiled and the sentence took Chloe by surprise and for a while, there was silence. "Emily was but you can keep telling yourself that", Chloe replied and chuckled, hoping Alice won't notice anything. The sun hits Chloe's eyes and she found herself squinting before she pulls down the sun visor and something falls on her. "Oops, sorry! You should clean your car, Becs", Chloe said as she bent down to pick the paper that fell. "Uh- yeah- just pass it to me and I'll throw it", Beca kept a hand on the wheel while she put out her other hand to Chloe, trying to keep her eyes on the road.

"Is this a ticket stub?", Chloe placed the paper closer to her face as she try to make out the faded words. "Just hand it over, I'll throw it", Beca said in a more hurriedly tone. "I thought they closed the funfair few months back?", Chloe asked. "The numbers at the top is the date, love. This ticket is from over a year ago", Alice said leaning against the back of Chloe's seat. Chloe's eyes slowly widened as she pieced the puzzle pieces together before Beca stopped the car and took the stub from Chloe's hand and placed it in her wallet. "You are a romantic, aren't you?", Alice asked. "Was", Beca replied and got out the car. "Yikes", Alice let out while Chloe processed everything. She still kept the ticket from our second date, she thought.

"Cindy, we're here!", Beca knocked on the door with a toolbox in her hand. They could here footsteps coming near the door just a few moments before it opened. "Hi, sweetheart. Thank you so much for helping. Hope I didn't bother any-", Cindy was about to go on before Beca cut her off. "Don't mention it", Beca smiled. "Mom, why didn't you just call me?", Chloe asked before giving her mom a hug. "And what are you gonna do, Chloe? I've never seen you with a tool in your hand", Cindy laughed as they all walked in. "Still! I'm your daughter, I can help! And I can just call someone to fix it up for you", the redhead shook her head and crossed her arms. "For what? They'll just overcharge you and I don't want strangers in my house", Cindy explained. "Chloe, really, I don't mind it plus Cindy makes bomb French toast so if you really think about it, it's a win-win situation", Beca smiled. "What do you need help with?", Beca turned to Cindy as she grabbed her water bottle and took a sip. "Well, originally I needed help with a shelf that I bought and you know me, I'm getting old. I can't assemble it on my own", the older woman said. "I can help you with that", Alice smiled. "I mean, it's a good way to get to know my future mother-in-law", she added which made Beca cough and hit her chest like she was choking. "Sorry, went into the wrong entrance", she said when everyone turned to her. "Anyways, I was thinking, while I have you here, maybe you could help me check my kitchen sink. The water's either too slow or it keeps cutting for some reason", Cindy said. "I'll get on that, ma'am", Beca looked at her and did a salute gesture which made the older woman laugh.
