AUTHOR'S POV

Beca woke up with an aching headache on the couch. "Good morning, lover", Stacie chuckled. "Gross, fuck- my head is throbbing", Beca groaned. "Well, that happens when you get drunk", Emily said before walking over with a glass of water and Advil. "Ugh, you are my angel", she said before taking the pills. "What happened last night? How did I even get here?", she asked in confusion. "Chloe's cousin dropped you off", Aubrey said. "Oh, it's coming back to me now", Beca cringed at herself. "Did you know? That they were going to? Y'know?", Beca looked at Aubrey who just shook her head. "I rambled last night didn't I?", the brunette asked. "Oh yeah you did. I got a video of it, you wanna see?", Stacie smiled and sat next to the brunette. "We love you too, Becs", Emily said. "Yeah, I love you too, Mitchell", Aubrey laughed. "Oh, you guys will so not give this up will you?", Beca rolled her eyes.

"Hey- uh- is Beca here?", Beca heard Chloe's voice at the door when Aubrey opened it. "Yes but first of all- you didn't even bother to tell me, your best friend, that you're engaged?!", Aubrey shrieked. "I'm sorry, it just- it happened so fast, I was still processing it", Chloe said and Aubrey walked over to the kitchen. "Hey uh- you left your PS5 at my mom's", Chloe looked at Beca and smiled softly. "Oh! Uh- thanks", Beca said before taking the bag from Chloe. "So, you excited to be the Mrs?", she jokingly said and Chloe fiddled with her fingers. "Becs- I uhm- Uh- Can we talk somewhere private?", she asked and Beca nodded before leading her to her room. "You're lucky Emily's not here today, she would've kil-", Beca was saying when she closed the door behind her but was cut off with Chloe's lips on her. Beca was taken back but she reciprocated the kiss and place her hand on Chloe's waist. They both pulled away with arms still all over each other. "You're someone's fiancé", Beca sighed out. "I know", Chloe said before kissing Beca again, this time even harder and Beca took this chance to walk towards her bed, lips still connected to the redhead. "Are you sure about this?", Beca asked when she pulled away and Chloe just nodded when she sat down on Beca's bed. 

Beca was leaning in to kiss her when they heard a knock on the door. "Emily's coming home soon! Chloe, you better leave before Emily sees you", Aubrey said and they both looked at each other. "Okay, Aubrey!", Beca said. "We probably shouldn't do this anyways, right?", Beca asked and Chloe looked into her eyes. "I- I'm leaving tomorrow night", she said. "What?", Beca's eyes widened. "Alice wanted to uh- go see her family, so we're taking a flight back tomorrow night", the redhead explained. "I just- I needed to- I need to- to feel you again. For the last time", Chloe said and stood up to look at Beca. She cupped Beca's face with her hand and the other was used to tuck Beca's hair behind her ear. " You- you are so full of light, Beca. Please remember that. You have the purest heart I've ever known and I know that you-", she grabbed both of Beca's hand in her hands, "You are going to achieve so many great things in life. Thank you for loving me like no one ever had before. I'm so proud of you", Chloe let out soft smile and Beca saw the tears forming in her eyes. "Is everything okay?", Beca asked and met her gaze. "I love you. Don't you ever tell yourself that I don't. I love you, Beca", Chloe placed a kiss on her hands. "I should get going. Uhm- promise me that you'll take care of yourself okay?", she said. "Wait, come to my event tonight. Please", Beca grabbed her hand and Chloe flinched. "Event?", she asked. "My pre-release, I want you there. I want you to hear what I've been working on", Beca said. "I'll uh- I'll be there", Chloe smiled before walking out the door. Well, great now I have to find a way to last minute plan this event, Beca said to herself. Something still feels off about Chloe and she needed more time with the redhead. 

"Alright, I called everyone on the list. What else do we need?", Emily asked Beca in the store. "Uh, snacks? Drinks. We definitely need drinks", Beca replied. "I wish you would've planned this out better, Becs, I'd be surprised if we can pull this off", Stacie said. "Why the sudden change in date?", Aubrey asked. "Chloe's leaving tomorrow night. I need her to be here", Beca explained before setting the sound system up. "She's leaving?", Stacie asked and Beca just nodded. "Are you sure it's a good idea for her to be here? Y'know considering, the songs are- well- for her?", Emily asked. "That's why I need her to be here", Beca said.
