AUTHOR'S POV

"Well, well. Veronica Lodge, as I live and breathe", Beca walked towards the dark-haired girl. "Missed me so much you had to stalk me?", she added. "Is this like a mercury retrogade thing or something? It's like the return of the dead but instead of the dead, it's- Beca's exes", Stacie laughed and Beca pushed her lightly. "Who's gonna show up next? It's like the universe is on her side too", Chloe told Aubrey and rolled her eyes before sitting down next to Alice. "Well, Emily told me that you're fucking around. Truly, I'm offended I wasn't your first call", Veronica leaned back in her seat and crosses her arms. "To be fair I said you were single, not fucking around", Emily said and raised her hands up to defend herself. "Oh sweetheart, if you needed me so badly, all you had to do was call", Beca said and took a seat next to her. "Be a gentleman and get me a drink?", Veronica smiled and leaned closer. "Your friends know you're here tonight?", Beca asked and she shook her head. "Not a fan of sharing are you?", she added. "I think- we're gonna head out soon", Chloe announced. "Aw, come on, princess, live a little", Beca turned to her and smiled while Veronica leaned in to her ear and whispered something that Chloe couldn't make out but she knew it was something flirty because Beca had a smirk on her hand. "Give us a second, guys", she smiled before leaving the table with Veronica.

"It's just- I feel like it's unhealthy- to be- y'know- fucking so much", Chloe let out after she glanced to Veronica and Beca in the corner of the club. "Problem in the sheets, Beale?", Amy asked. "No! What! We're fine", Chloe placed a hand on Alice's lap. "I just feel like- she needs to- Bree, y'know what I mean right?", Chloe looked at Aubrey. "Uhm- yeah! I think what Chloe meant is that- Beca should just- slow down for a while and settle down?", Aubrey said unsure. "I should- I'm gonna check on her and make sure she's okay", Chloe said, imeediately getting up and walking over to the two girls. Beca had her arms crossed as she was leaning against the wall. "You need something, princess?", she asked as she turned her head to see Chloe with a look that she can't quite make of in the dark setting and she knew how much it annoys Chloe when she calls her that. "I think you should go home", Chloe said sternly to Veronica who's eyes widened. "Excuse me?", she replied in disbelief. "The last time I checked, you don't boss around Beca anymore", she added and crossed her arms. Beca was too stunned to say anything since she was confused as to what was going on. "Look, we both know what happened the last time we met. So, I'm telling you nicely, walk away and go home, now", Chloe ordered. "I wanna hear it from Beca", Veronica said and turned to look at Beca. "Wait here", she said before grabbing Chloe's arm and pulling her to a empty spot near the bathroom.

"What do you think you're doing?", Beca asked, slightly frustrated. "I'm saving you from an eternity of regrets, you're welcome", Chloe replied and scoffed. "What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Chloe, you don't have the rights to tell me who I should fuck", the brunette said. "Beca, you need to start making better choices. How many people do you wanna fuck?! It's concerning", Chloe said. "And don't tell me you're not doing it just to spite me", she added. Beca scoffed at that comment. "You're- you're fucking unbelievable, Chlo! And a fucking hypocrite! You get to slam your relationship in front of my face but the moment I fuck someone, you're all pissed and mad? You don't get to play the victim here, Chlo", Beca let out. "None of this would've happened if you had just talked to me or- called or replied to my texts. It wouldn't have happened if you had just- just stayed", Beca sighed and looked down at her feet. "Why can't you just be happy for me?! Why can't you just put everything in the past and just- just accept the truth! Instead, you need to fuck every single person that breathes in your way and you just had to rub it in my face, don't you? It's fucking pathetic, Beca. I'm trying to help you here and I can't-", Chloe was ranting before Beca cut her off. "Well, guess what, Chlo! I don't need your fucking help! I don't need you! I regret even meeting you!", Beca raised her voice and she knew she didn't mean that. She knew she fucked up when Chloe looked at her in disbelief and stormed into the bathroom's cubicle. She sighed out and hit the wall before walking into the bathroom.

"Chloe", she called out and she could hear faint sobbing from one of the cubicles. She walked closer and faced the door.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that", she sighed out. "Chlo, come on, open the door", she added. "Leave me alone", was all that Chloe could make out without sobbing. Beca sighed and dropped her head against the door. "What do you expect me to do, Chlo?", she asked. "I'm not that strong and maybe I'm immature, but I can't look at you and her and just- be okay with it", Beca let out. "You were my whole world. You still are and I hate that. I hate that I can't look at you without wanting to kiss you and- and love you", she added before stepping back from the door when she heard the lock moved. "I think- I'm gonna stay with my mom until I go back. It was a bad idea for us to stay together in the same house", Chloe said as she wiped her cheeks. "Chlo-", Beca was ready to beg her all over again to just- stay. "I'll stay tonight and we'll leave in the morning", the redhead cut her off. "I think you should give Izzie a chance, she- she's a sweet girl", Chloe said before walking away. Beca quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her. "I don't want Izzie. I don't want anyone else but you", she said. Chloe just sighed out before walking away again.
