AUTHOR'S POV

The two spent the night on Beca's bed as Chloe explained the situation with Alice and how Alice has been abusing her. "Y'know at first I thought it was just- a one time thing- like some sort of anger management thing. But then she would start doing it over small things- like- the dishes or her sock drawer and I just- I knew that if she found out about what happened between us and if I- if I told you- I just- I couldn't risk getting you hurt again", Chloe explained and wiped her tears. "That's why I was okay with leaving again. Because I know sooner or later she would find out and I just- I don't know what I would do with myself if she hurts you", she added. "Hey, we're okay. She can't hurt anyone else okay? You're okay, love", Beca gave her a soft smile and placed her hand on Chloe's arm. "Everyone's worried sick about you downstairs", she said. "I know, I just- I need a- moment. I just need to process everything that just happened", Chloe said. "You want me to give you some space?", Beca asked and looked at Chloe. "No, I want you here", she replied. They both fell asleep in each other's arms again after so long.

Chloe's POV

I woke up with a heavy weight on my chest and I looked around the room to see Beca sound sleeping next to me. I checked my phone to see if Alice has made any contact with me or if Beca really scared her.

*Alice has sent 1 attachment*

I looked at my phone in confusion and click open the notification. It was a picture of bruised-up and bleeding Beca with the text, 'I'm gonna kill your little girlfriend'. I looked at it in shock and I could feel my breath getting shorter and shorter and I turned to look at Beca again who was gone. My body shot up from the bed and I started breathing heavily before I turned to my side to see Beca look at me with a worried gaze. "Hey, hey, you're okay. It was just a dream, alright? You're safe here, Chlo", Beca whispered softly and placed her hand on my back. "She- she was going to hurt you", I sobbed. "Hey, look at me. I'm okay. It was just a dream, my love. Why don't you go back to sleep? I'll be right here, okay?", she said calmly and tucked me back into bed before placing a soft kiss on my head.

AUTHOR'S POV

Chloe woke up the next day to a note next to her that said, 'Making breakfast downstairs, join me when you're up? xx Beca', she smiled softly and took her phone. She saw that she got a few missed calls and texts from Alice but she just immediately turned her phone off and put it aside before making her way downstairs where she heard the girls talking. "You're in an awfully good mood today, seems really early for you to be up", Stacie said. Chloe stood by the stairs for a while to hear what they were talking about. "I'm just happy", Beca replied. "Should we guess or-", Emily said jokingly. "I'm just happy she's safe, y'know", Beca said. "Yeah and that now you guys can go back to the annoying lovey-dovey couple that you were?", Stacie said making the brunette roll her eyes and scoffed. Just before Beca could reply anything, Chloe walked into the kitchen. "G'mornin", she said softly and took a seat at the dining table. "Hey, you're feeling okay?", Beca approached her and she just nodded while giving the brunette a reassuring smile. "Why didn't you tell me anything, Chlo?", Aubrey sighed. "You know, I couldn't. I didn't want her to hurt you guys if I got you guys involved in it", Chloe replied. "Are you okay now? Did she hurt you bad?", Stacie asked. "I feel a bit better and she's done worse", the redhead replied and shrugged. Beca walked over to her and placed a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon along with a mug of hot tea. "She left me multiple missed calls and texts last night", she said as she started eating her breakfast. "What did she say?", Beca asked. "I don't know, I didn't open it and I turned my phone off straight away", Chloe replied. "Why did you say yes when she proposed?", Aubrey asked. There was a moment of silence. "I was scared. I didn't know how she would take it if I said no. Plus, my whole family was there, I was scared that her reaction would be worse", she explained.

The rest of the day was spent with Beca checking up on Chloe every now and then whilst doing her work in the living room. Stacie, Em and Aubrey have each left for work and it was just the two of them. "Becs?", Chloe called out from the kitchen and the brunette immediately came running along. "Yeah? You okay?", she asked with a worried look. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just- I wanna say sorry. And- and thank you- for getting me out of- y'know", Chloe stuttered with her words. "Shh, I did what was right", Beca smiled. "I really really love you, Becs, and I meant it, I regret leaving the way I did and if I cou-", Chloe was starting to tear up. "Hey, what if- we start fresh? Y'know- clean slate and all that, let's just leave everything behind and we start over?", Beca grabbed her hands and she nodded. "Do you think when you feel better, I can take you out to dinner, Miss Beale?", Beca asked, making the redhead roll her eyes. "Yes. Yes, you can, Miss Mitchell", Chloe smiled. "Say, maybe, tomorrow night?", Beca asked and the girl nodded. They both had th ebiggest smile on their face, both of them not believing that this is happening. They're in each other's arms again.
