Riley's POV

I wiped my tears away before I stood at the doorway to the living room. "I'm going to bed. Night guys." I said, about to turn around, when Emily spoke.
"Really? It's only 10:30." She said to me.
"Yeah. I've had a busy day though. Night." I said again, turning and walking up the stairs. I walked inside my bedroom, and closed the door. I sat on the bed, as tears glistened in my eyes again. I looked down to where my hands were on my lap, as a couple tears fell on my jeans. I looked over at my left hand, where my wedding ring sparkled from the light. I moved my hand up, before removing the rings from my fingers, and standing up, placing them in the jewelry box on my dresser. Closing the lid, I took a deep breath in. I pulled my blouse over my head, throwing it on the floor. Pushing the hair out of my face, I finished getting undressed, before opening the top drawer of the dresser, and pulling out a pink, button up nightgown. I slipped my arms in the long sleeves, and began buttoning the nightgown, finishing at my thighs. I then turned to face the bed. I pulled back the covers, and climbed in, before pulling the covers back in place. I turned on my side, so that my back was facing the door, and more tears began to roll down the left side of my face, and onto the pillow. "How could he do this to me?" I asked myself quietly.

Emily's POV

I turned the key, and opened the door. Haley and Colin raced into the house, excited to get to be home. They did like staying at their grandparents though. I took out the spare key, and put it back under the welcome mat, before stepping inside and closing the door. I had brought Haley and Colin home as a favour for Riley and James, since they had helped me clean out my condo. Long story short, there was a pile of garbage waiting for me when I first got the key 2 weeks ago. Plus, the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. "I'm here!" I called out, setting my purse on the front hallway table, and walking into the living room. I was surprised to see James's figure sleeping on the couch though. The way he had the pillow and blanket set up, it appeared that he had slept there all night. I sighed, and headed up to Riley and James's bedroom, where the door was closed. I opened it, and saw Riley still asleep in her bed, the other side having been untouched. I sighed, realizing that they were being stubborn about the many things they were fighting over. Fixing their problems would probably take all day, but I wanted to try. It's going to be a long day.
