Riley's POV

"Ok. Are you ready to eat the gender reveal cupcakes?" I asked Haley and Colin, who each had a chocolate cupcake in their hands.
"Mommy. What does gender reveal mean?" Colin asked me, staring up at me expectantly.
"Well. It means that you're going to find out whether the baby in mommy's tummy is a boy or a girl. The coloured icing in the cupcake will be blue for boy or pink for girl. So the colour of the icing will tell you whether you're getting a little brother or a little sister." I explained to him. He nodded, and looked up at me again.
"Can I eat it now?" He asked me. I smiled.
"Yes. Enjoy." I said as they both bit into the cupcake. "Any colours yet?" I asked them.
"No." Colin answered me, his mouth full of cupcake, while Haley just shook her head. About a minute later, Colin's eyes went wide, and his mouth was open wide. That lasted for about a second, before he smiled and started to bounce on the couch. "It's pink! It's pink!" He chanted, glee written all over his face.
"I'm going to get a sister?" Haley asked happily. I nodded, smiling.
"Yeah. You're going to get a little sister." I told them happily. We celebrated for a little bit longer, before they finished their cupcakes, and the doorbell rang. I furrowed my brow in confusion, as I stood up, and walked to the front door. I opened it, to see Emily standing there.
"Surprise!" She said to me.
"Em! Hi. How are you?" I asked her, pulling her in for a hug.
"I'm fabulous. And you?" She asked.
"Great." I answered. Suddenly we heard squealing, and Colin ran in, a huge smile on his chocolate covered face.
"Aunty Emily! Aunty Emily!" He squealed, jumping up and down.
"What happened to you?" She asked him, looking at the chocolate crumbs on his face and shirt.
"He just ate a cupcake." I told her, just as the phone rang. "Sorry. I gotta get that. Be back in a second." I said, turning and walking to get the phone.

Emily's POV

"Mommy gave me a cupcake, and it had pink icing inside!" Colin told me like it was some big achievement, as I bent down to his size.
"Why'd it have pink icing?" I asked him, wondering why the cupcake for a boy had pink icing.
"Because of the baby inside mommy's tummy." He told me, smiling big.
"A baby in mommy's tummy?" I asked him, slightly confused.
"Yeah. Mommy has a baby in her tummy. And it's growing." He said, like it was some form of magic or something.
"I see." I said, standing up properly, a smug look on my face.
