Eldon's POV

"It was just about Riley and James's divorce. I'm sure you girls pondered it out of Riley too." I said, helping Thalia take all of her purchases out of the bags.
"Actually she wouldn't speak. What did James tell you?" She asked, eyeing me curiously. "Perhaps the reason behind it?" She continued to ponder. The one thing that extremely annoyed me about Thalia was showing through right now. She could be extremely noisy. And, being a lawyer, she was able to get the secrets out of you.
"Look. He confined it in me as a friend, trusting I wouldn't tell anyone. So I want to keep that promise." I told her. She smirked at me, biting her bottom lip.
"Well, if you don't tell me your secret, I won't tell you mine." She told me evilly. "And I think you'll be very happy when you find out what mine is." She said, before turning on her heel, and walking back out to the living room.
"Alright Thalia, you win." I called to her, walking following her out of the room.
"Great. Spill the news." She said to me, smiling.
"James got drunk and slept with another woman." I told her, beating myself up inside as I did.
"Oh my god! He did that?! I have to go see Riley right now." Thalia said, turning away from me and putting her shoes back on.
"Wait a second! What about your news?!" I asked annoyed.
"Later. This is more important." She said, pulling the front door closed behind her. I huffed, standing in the middle of the room, annoyed.

Riley's POV

"So how pregnant are you?" A lady asked me, waiting to write down my answer. She was recording this for the doctor to see when he came in to do an ultrasound.
"About 3 and a half months I believe." I told her. She narrowed her eyes at me, like she didn't believe me, but asked the next question without any comments.
"How come you didn't know you were pregnant until just now?" She asked, writing down her question.
"The first test I took was negative, but when I started getting morning sickness I thought about getting a blood test done." I answered as she wrote.
"Alright. Thank you. The doctor will be in soon." She told me, standing up, and exiting the examination room. I sat and waited quietly, until a man entered the room.
"Hello Riley." He said kindly to me, taking a seat at the desk and scanning the notes the nurse had taken. "Ultrasound today?" He questioned. I nodded, and he smiled. "Sorry about that. I should know, but I guess I'm just a little scatterbrained today." He told me.
"Yeah. Me too." I said, thinking about James, and the kids, and how they'd react again.
"Alright, so can I get you to lay back?" He asked, and I did as he said.
