Thalia's POV
"Have you and James really been fighting that much that you sent him out to my apartment?" I inquired, as Gisselle, Chloe, Riley, Michelle, and I wandered around the mall.
"Yes!" Riley snapped, annoyed, as the rest of us giggled. That was the fifth time we had inquired her about her relationship, and she seemed very annoyed. We wandered into Macy's and began shifting through the racks, continuing our conversations.
"This mall brings back too many memories." Michelle said as she shuddered, pretending the memories were horrible things. We all laughed again at her comment. We were in the mall where she got 'arrested' after Tess placed the perfume in her bag.
"Ok, but being fully serious, what do I have to catch Hunter doing to kick him out? He can be the biggest slob in the universe." Gisselle said, over exaggerating a little. Her and Hunger had gotten an apartment together a year after they started dating, and she was always mentioning how messy he was. Riley rolled her eyes at the last part of Gisselle's comment. "I'm serious!" She said.
"It's no big deal." Riley said, as we walked up to the cash register with the things we had picked out. She placed her items on the counter, and dug for her wallet as the cashier rang up her items.
"It had to be something big, otherwise you'd still live together." Michelle said in a 'duh' tone. Riley tapped her credit card, before putting it away, and grabbing the bag her items were in.
"Ri, where's your wedding ring?" Chloe asked. We all shifted our glance to Riley's left ring finger, to find the absence of the glimmering ring.
"I took it off." Riley answered plainly, as she waited for the rest of us to pay for our items as well.
"Why would you take it off?" I asked, confused as I furrowed my brows. Suddenly Michelle gasped.
"Are you getting a divorce?" She asked, sounding incredibly worried for a relationship she wasn't involved in.
"No. Or at least not yet." Riley answered, as we all started walking again.
"But you're thinking of a divorce?" Gisselle inquired.
"I'd rather not talk about it." Riley said, avoiding eye contact.
"But you weren't looking for a divorce two nights ago when A troupe was over. How recent has this come up?" I asked her, a little concerned at her quick jump to a decision.
"Don't you people have better things to do than try to pry me open to hear about what's happening between me and James?" Riley asked, annoyed and with sarcasm dripping from her voice.
"No way. Jiley is the heart and soul of all our thoughts." Chloe joked as Riley rolled her eyes.
