Piyali looked at Prabir who is thinking to give a new name for her.
" how about Piyali?" He said recalling the names his mother. Had written in the list.

" wonderful!" Everyone said except Piyali who remained clueless.
She felt a strange feeling in her, hearing that name but she dismissed it.

" would you like to be called as Piyali dear?" Dipankar asked her affectionately.

Piyali nodded her head in yes, seeing the affection and care in his eyes for her.

" Piyali!" Jaggu called her, she eyed at him, " from today onwards do your fights with this brother, spare me please!" He said pulling Prabir into her sight.

She huffed and said, " you said you are my Bhai too. Then how will I spare you"

" finally I heard my daughter's voice" Dipankar speak.

" come let's have lunch, from today onwards she will occupy Mom's chair, which I used to sit.
Not only that she will take over the responsibility of adding ghee and wood to our sacred fire aswell" Prabir announced to which Piyali gave a puzzled look.

Prabir made Piyali sit on their Mother's chair and started to fill her plate with lots of food, not even listening to her.

" I can't eat this much" she complained looking at her plate.

" you should eat, you need strength." Prabir protested and feed her ladoo preventing her to speak.

" your tantrums won't work here.
He is not like me, my sister." Jaggu mocked her, while she glared at him.

" enough brother, I won't eat this much, if you try to feed me again.
I will pour kheer on you" she warned Prabir, instead of getting anger he laughed out,
" dad, did you heard finally she called me brother!" He said, Dipankar nodded his head in yes.

" maalik, do you know she wanted to call you chacha and all that" Jaggu revealed making Piyali embarrassed, Barkha pulled his ear and said, " don't tease your sister"

" maai, leave me it's hurting" Jaggu complained.

" did you see brother, maai is on my team, also Prabir brother is also on my team" Piyali showed her tongue to him.
He rolled his eyes and rubbed his ear.

" dear, won't you call me dad?" Dipankar asked suddenly making everyone still.

Piyali battled with her thoughts and hesitation,
And finally said, " dad"

" onc more time dear, I was yearned to hear this from you, since the day Jaggu told that he had seen you?" Dipankar speak.

" when Dad?" Piyali asked not getting where Jaggu had seen her before.

" I...I... mean, when I found you on road, the day I saved you" Jaggu speak even before she get any doubt, as he don't want to reveal where he had seen her, then he must say about her actual family who tried to harm her.

Piyali nodded in understanding.
Soon, Prabir started to narrate her with their story of Varnika clan, which she heard interestingly.
Soon she understood that she had a huge responsibility of taking care of scared fire.

" is this the reason, why Piyali got saved from death and escaped cruel clutches of her so called previous family." Barkha thought after hearing the responsibility Piyali have now.
