He was always there in my dreams haunting them like a ghost. I was always unsure if he was actually a memory or an actual person. Yet he always came the same clothes and skin but with blank face expressionless empty. No eyes, nose, or mouth just emptiness a blank canvas of flesh.
It was late at night, bolting upright in bed, from yet another dream I couldn't remember. My hands quickly found there way into my hair, chest heaving ,my heart pounding roughly against my chest.
Nico grunted rolling over nuzzling my neck.
"Is this all you ever do?" I chuckle as I run my hands through his black hair which was sticking up in places. I smile as he grumbled in his sleep scooting closer to me. The temperature during the night had dropped leaving goosebumps to rise off my skin that the blanket left exposed. The moonlight enter the room through the left side of the room which faced the sea giving us an amazing view of the water during the day ,and night. Currently the sea looked black the water rippling with every wave the waves reflecting back silver, the moon illuminating the sky along with the stars. There was a stillness in the air the sent chills down my back the type of chills you get when you are alone in bed with only the darkness of night as company. When every creak of the floor or whistle of wind makes you jump on edge. Looking off into one of the corners of the room there he was the faceless man looking in my direction not moving looking unreal. In this background I slowly got up walking towards him. The silence was both unsettling ,and soothing.

In a slow hissing tone like air escaping from a balloon it spoke "wake up"

"Wake up" it hissed lower

"Wake up"

I jerked awake to Nico shaking my shoulder.

"Morn'in sleepyhead" he chuckled

"Morning" I smile rubbing my head yawning I reached my hand over running it trough his dark hair. We were both still laying in bed legs tangled together under the blanket in nothing ,but our underwear. Nico had his cheek resting in the palm of his hand head propped up on his right elbow looking down at me that same smirk plastered on his face that he always seemed to have.

"I ordered room service it should be here soon" Nico said softly reaching over with his left hand to cup my cheek before leaning closer and pressing a soft kiss to my lips. Which I gladly returned smiling before laying back in bed one arm bent running a hand over my head.

"Bad dream?"

"Hmmm?" I sat up looking at Nico.

"I smelled fear" he huffed nuzzling his face into my neck.

"It was only a dream Nico nothing more and nothing less" I sigh softly looking into his deep blue eyes. seeing a flash of that deep golden yellow ,I scrunched up my brow. "Why Yellow?" Nico looked at me questioningly before smirking his eyes starting to switch between the vibrant ,and unreal yellow gold to the deep cool blue of the ocean. Before it all stopped on a deep emerald green flecked with golds ,and blues.

"How did you even?" I shook my head "oh yeah you can turn into a fuzzy thing that howls at the moon" I tease.

"The joys of coming from a gifted family" Nico chuckled running a hand through my hair. I sigh and roll over curling back up in the blanket.

Nico pov

They always have said that humans were above animals in all ways from intellect ,and well that's about it the only edge humans have ever seemed to have above other animals is just the quick wit and power of evolution. The mind was a beautiful ,and complex thing I remember once when I was younger I had the pleasure to dissect ,and hold it the mass of tissues in every conscious beings skull. In my hands I held an entire person's  life there memories, feelings, a thing that could never be stored or rebuilt for it was one of a kind. Nobody would ever know the true meaning for they could never understand this one person's life what they wanted to do with there life. In dreams we could be anything we wished, I could fly ,I could see my parents smiling faces.
